Unrelated note, but a bit of Jurassic Park trivia for you! At 32:14 the note mentions someone by the name of Carter. If you didn’t know, Carter was the name of one of the InGen mercenaries from The Lost World, who was more or less completely responsible for getting a LOT of people, including himself, killed during a chase with the female T. Rex. He was also indirectly responsible for Dieter Stark’s (deserved) death.

Never have I ever been unironically asked (even parasocially), "what's my favorite dinosaur?" I am honored to answer this question, as I too am a big dinosaur nerd. My favorite dinosaur is the Ankylosaurus, I find it's plated armor far superior than the more popular "armored dinosaur" Triceratops. In addition, it's club-like tail is fascinating. Honorable mentions include, but not limited too: -Therozinosaurus (I had a Switch&Go dino named Torr that I still have.) -Quetzalcoatlus (I have mispronouncing it as the Aztec god 'Quetzalcoatl' since the beginning of time.) -Triceratops (Before I found out about the Ankylo.) -Kaprosuchus (got it Ark once & felt like a god) Call me Harry, cuz I got a bucket full of mfing dinosaurs

British Columbian here! A little explanation about references that were made in the game: Ogopogo is a local legend very similar to the Loch Ness monster, said to live in Okanagan lake in British Columbia. Unlike its Scottish counterpart, it’s a lot lesser known and doesn’t quite have the same infamy. It’s supposedly very similar to a plesiosaur, which is a type of aquatic dinosaur that appeared in the Triassic period 203 million years ago. It even has its own derpy little statue in Kelowna. My Grandpa used to tell me to watch my toes or the Ogopogo would eat them, even though we weren’t even swimming in the same lake lol. Anyways my favourite dinosaur has to be a protoceratops! If you don’t know what it is, it looks like a small triceratops with no horns. They’re really cute!

@@toxinvr9929 my favorite dinosaur is The Sturgeon: Learn About Sturgeon Sturgeon are living dinosaurs. Fisheries biologists have discovered that sturgeon existed as long as 200 million years ago. The scientific name for white sturgeon is Acipenser transmontanus, which means “fish on the other side of the mountains.” Both white and green sturgeon are native to the Columbia River. They are anadromous, meaning they start their life in fresh water and spend part in salt water, just like salmon. But unlike Pacific salmon, sturgeon do not die after they spawn. Sturgeon can live to be more than 100 years old! The white sturgeon can grow 20 feet long and weigh more than 1,500 pounds! White sturgeon from the Columbia River have been known to go as far south as the Sacramento River in California and as far north as the Frasier River in Canada. Historically, sturgeon were found in the Columbia River all the way north to Canada and in the Snake River in Idaho. But that changed with hydroelectric dams and habitat destruction from changing land uses, which have severely lowered sturgeon populations. Some sturgeon are now limited to living in the river between the dams, and do not migrate to the ocean. In their natural habitat, sturgeon feed on clams, mussels, crayfish, worms, lamprey, smelt, anchovies, shad, fish eggs and other dead fish. They have no teeth, but use their mouth to crush prey and have a special spiral valve digestive system to help them absorb food and other nutrients. A variety of predators prey upon sturgeon eggs and young ones, but humans are the main predator for large, adult sturgeon. Fun Facts about Sturgeon How old can a sturgeon get? More than 100 years old. How big can a sturgeon get? As big as 20 feet long. Are sturgeon bony? Sturgeon bodies are a combination of bones and cartilage, but most of their body is cartilage like the tip our nose or our ears. What are the bumps on their backs? The bumps on sturgeon’s backs are called scutes. They are circular pieces of bone with a point in the middle. When another animal bites into it, it will get a hard bony point in its mouth. How do sturgeon find their food? Sturgeon do not have to see their food in order to eat, unlike salmon. Sturgeon use their barbels, the things that look like whiskers, to feel and smell their food. How big are sturgeon eggs and how do they grow? For such a big fish, sturgeon eggs and babies are very small. They are about the size of a small bead. Sturgeon like to lay their eggs in fast moving water, which spreads the eggs out. The eggs are heavier than water and sink to the bottom, where they stick. Sturgeon like fast moving water so, dirt and other silt can not cover the eggs and kill them. Sturgeon grow very quick when they are young.

Lmao "Galapagos Girdy." The Loch Ness Monster, "Nessie." Yes, very similar indeed. Edit: Also, it was depressing how the man came all this way just to be eaten out of spite. The whole journey was all for nothing, with all those corpses of those that were eaten alive. Clearly, every individual that made it to the site was ganged up on, as they became the next meal for the lumbering dinosaurs. Yes, actions were taken, but the officials didn't try hard enough to prevent all of these deaths. Now look where this got them: It's just going to be a continuous cycle of people going to the site, discovering the truth, and surviving till the end to end up eaten next (I apologize if this was too deep for some people).

I can actually imagine this taking place in the same universe as Dino Crisis. Maybe someone was performing some Third Energy experiments in the area in the past that brought the dinosaurs to Oakwood the same way they were brought to the locations of the first two games. Also my personal fave dino is the Spinosaurus. JP3 forever left an impression on me, even though we know now it looked pretty different in reality.

My favorite dinosaur is the Parasaurolophus! And as far as cryptids go, I was always a fan of dinosaur-like ones, ahaha. Nessie, Champ, Mkelem-bembe (or however it's spelled, lol) This game was amazing, tho! I wonder if the devs will ever make a sequel or something? There was clearly someone calling people there in order to feed the dinosaurs, so more lore would be cool, lol. Rexy was my favorite!

REXY. Not gonna lie I thought this game would have more dinosaurs then just the mains. I am greatful they do have dinosaur horror games out there but I do believe there should be more then just the T Rex and Raptors. If they choose add more to these types of games I would 100% play them. In terms, I do believe that most dinosaur games are not based off realize but I think they should make the dinosaurs seem more Intimidating. Anyway great play though ❤
@PurpleGermanShepherd132 жыл бұрын
I was thinking as well that there's not many dinosaur horror games. Now, the Jurassic Park series may not be in the horror genre, but there's some pretty horrifying deaths in the movies. My favorite dinosaur is the Apatosaurus, mainly because one of my favorite toys as a kid was this black-and-green Apatosaurus.

Personally my favorite Dino is probably Utahraptor. which is as close to a JP Raptor as possible. Though Rexy always brings me to T-Rex as well. I think the idea of Wendigo is a good one for cryptids. they are perfect horror monsters.
