Fetch is scary, not because of endangering you, but you endangering everyone else. Fetch read Greg’s mind and killed the neighbor’s dog. Say you get in an argument with your friend, saying you hate them or something. Fetch will kill them, perceiving your friend as a nuisance to you.

Hearing you describe Into The Pit really sounds like a bad dream. Like if Michael had a dream about what his dad did and how it corrupted his childhood memories of Freddy's which (before he knew his dad's crimes) would have been nice. Doesn't mean the story is literally Michael's dream because the main character is Oswald but maybe it's a parallel to give us insight into Michael's mindset. Just a thought.

I’m glad someone else is talking about these admittedly awesome additions to the Fnaf universe. Personally the most horrifying creature for me was the Julius Mech from the Breaking Wheel. I think how much the book builds it up makes you think it’s not going to be a thing until the story does a double twist and has this mangled kid in a metal suit actually happen. Then how he he kills the protagonist at the end is utterly disgusting in a way that I love. Great video

I can't remember the story's name but one of my favorites is the one where the two girls end up in a pig animatronic, it's fnafy enough to makes sense but also does it's own thing. It's not weird either as the animatronic seems to simply possessed or controlled which calls back to a simpler time. I'd say it also makes William's death so much worse as it describes every detail of what the springlocks do to a person even more so than Dave's speech in silver eyes.

The main character is hilariously stuck-up!! 🤣 Oh my God I was crying tears. And I like the setup where it fools you into thinking since he didn't do the science experiment right by using baby teeth and NOT doing it properly by yanking a tooth out he'll be the only one punished. It even has the other kids listening to the murmurs and then going up to the teacher with a wonderous expression like they heard something amazing. That their lives are changed for the better and his experiment is the only one acting up. BUT NO! It happened to all of them. 🤣🙁😐😨😰😱

I personally theorize that Ralpho might just be a random serial killer, not William Afton but some escaped mental patient or maybe a spree killer on the news as some background lore that we're not privy to. I mean it bled red blood not agony so it (in theory should be human) and besides a lot these books seem to be takes on established horror movies, tropes and scary stories, for example: Blackbird: The Raven By: Edgar Allen Poe Step Closer: John Carpenter's They Live To be Beautiful: I personally interpret as a retelling of the legend of Faust, but focusing on the "Deal with the Devil" trope that the story bought in but through the lens of a twisted retelling of Cinderella Out of Stock, Fetch and Sea Bonnies: Take your pic on which killer doll , terrifying toy and small monster movies movie they could be paying a homage to, Child's Play, Puppet Master, Annabelle, Talky Tina, Gremlins, Ghoulies, The Pit, The Gate. I could go on. Fazgoo and Lonely Freddy: Invasion of the Body Snatchers, anyone? So I feel like if we applied Ralpho's story to this formula I've made up it would probably be a Fazbear Fright's take on a few things: 1. 80s slasher flicks such as Friday the 13th, due to be set in a camp in the woods with a masked killer stalking an unsuspecting group of people just looking to get away. 2. Home invasion thrillers such as Us, You're Next and The Purge, due to said masked killer wanting nothing more than to get in. 3. The trope of the situation of the story happening due to a prank gone wrong, look at Slaughter High and Terror Train. Although this was more like trying to abort the prank if anything, so that may or may not count. So, I believe that this story is basically at its core a suspenseful 80s style slasher film in the form of the written word. Or I may be overthinking it, but either way I had fun theorizing and sharing.

'in the flesh' to me felt the most like, realistically tragic in a way. sure it's got that fnaf charm but it's a man away from his ill son trying to make him feel better with what he can. there's no actual antagonist we can point a pitchfork at, even the brain cancer- it's a faceless unceasing cell growth in the most unfortunate place. not even whoever planted that ied that took out jake's dad, we don't even know all that. everyone in that story were just people, plain and simple.
@spartan_odinson75702 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I think Scott Cawthon should take The Real Jake and turn it into an official FNAF game with Steel Wool or some other game company, or even an element of the movie. Unlike every other thing in FNAF, the topics covered in The Real Jake is depressing and super realistic. If Scott does that, then he'd reach a new level of horror for the franchise that, much to one's discomfort, we'd see play out to the very end. Quite literally.
@spartan_odinson75702 жыл бұрын
@Sally Trip Even still, though I'd love to see a game set in Fredbear's (not FNAF 4), I think it's essential that we get a FNAF game that deals with very realistic, tragic concepts. Don't get me wrong, dead kids stuffed in robots is pretty terrifying and the VHS tapes made by Scrimpus show us how horrific that concept truly is, I think something more realistic like what The Real Jake showed is worthy of being featured in a game, or even in the movie. IDK, I think injecting realism into a "horror" game franchise about haunted robots and an apparently immortal kiddie strangler would add a bit more charm to the series.

Y'know, maybe I'm just missing something, but I couldn't stand the Fazbear Frights books. I only got up to Gumdrop Angel before giving up. The main characters are always unlikable assholes, the books spend way to long describing details that really don't matter, the storylines are easily predictable once you get past the first few pages, and the storylines themselves are just kinda awful. To Be Beautiful sexualizes a 15 year old, In The Flesh is just actual impreg fanfiction, and Lonely Freddy is so ungodly boring that I'm still not sure how I got through it. One big problem is the plots are so cartoonish that they just don't fit into FNAF. Some stories, like Into The Pit, are so batshit insane that they can benefit from it. But for the most part, the Walmart brand Goosebumps style the books take on kinda flies in the face of the horror of the FNAF series. The whole point is that the animatronics are cartoon like, and yet realistic in an uncanny way, similarly to the Chuck E Cheese animatronics they spoof. When you take away the realism and just make them run of the mill horror story boogiemen and it really doesn't work. It also doesn't help how poorly the animatronics are implemented into the stories. In Come Closer, Foxy, the main antagonist and cover of the fucking book, appears twice. One of said instances being the start of the story and the other being a dream sequence. There are some exceptions to this, thankfully. Scenes like the Ralpho fight from Bunny Call or the Plushtrap chase from the Plushtrap story from book 2 I can't remember the name of are stand out examples, and genuinely feel like something from the games. However these kinds of scenes are the exception and not the rule. And about what I said about the main characters, you know the opening scenes in slasher movies? You know, the ones where a couple of unnamed throwaway characters go into a spooky place to do some form of delinquent behavior only to get brutalized by the big bad to show off how cool and scary he is? They're usually one note and unlikable so the audience knows not to care about them. Imagine that, but if the throwaway characters where the main characters of the movie. Take Angel from Gumdrop Angel, for example. She's in a shitty situation, sure. But one of the first things she does in the story is slap the shit out of her younger stepsister because said younger sister offered her a slice of pizza. Or Milly from Count The Ways. She spends the entire story being a dick to her cool ass, murder robot hoarding, cookie baking grampa for basically no reason. There's also Mat from In The Flesh, who's awful to basically everyone who interacts with him, and tries to steal his roommate's date after getting drunk. If you want a horror story to be suspenseful, you have to make the audience care about the main characters. If not, then the audience has no investment of if they die or not. I won't pretend The Silver Eyes trilogy had top tier human characters, but at least I couldn't say I hated a majority of the cast. When Charlie was in danger, I was actually decently invested. On the topic, the original trilogy also had objectively better scenes with the animatronics. The Foxy arcade chase, the Balloon Boy lights section, the Funtime Freddy mirror maze, all of them were fun sections and, like I said, felt like something from the games. That kind of formula could have worked well in Fazbear's Fights. Set up an animatronic and end the story with a climactic fight with said animatronics. Instead, we just kinda get an unsatisfying anticlimax for most stories. The finale of Come Closer gets cut off by the main character getting hit by a truck and dying. To Be Beautiful just kinda has the lead decompose into garbage. I feel like these are trying to be more horror based endings, which can work, but the issue is that they don't. Like the third books ending, where the main character just kinda goes coocoo and hides in a pipe because an alarm clock was bothering her, kinda like that one SpongeBob episode with the boots but worse. If you like the Fazbear Frights books, fine by me, but honestly I just don't like them.
