O-line was the escape goat. Shedeur was getting sacked 20 yards back from the LOS. That's not on the line. Even against USC he rushed for 50 yards but lost just as many yards on sacks. For the 2023 season #2 had negative 77 yards rushing.

Exactly v they can't explain the Jackson state sacks. H holds the ball too long, has poor footwork, and he's not studying film as much as he needs to. The spread offense allows sacks if u don't throw the ball away ...can u remember him throwing the ball away? BARELY. He barely does. He cares about his completion percentage too much

@@Peter-w4s1e so I actually looked it up. He was sacked 35 times his freshman year and 25 times his sophomore year. A total of 55 times grand total at Jackson. And 53 times in one season at Colorado.

Great post! After seeing Caleb play I felt that Shedeur was the better QB because of his presence in the pocket. He never gets rattled and always knows what the correct read is. Unfortunately after the TCU game teams had film on that terrible OL and they began to exploit them. So we didn’t get to see Shedeur at his best. We will this season though.

The PAC 12 was pretty competitive last year. It's very hard to win games when you can't control the line of scrimmage and you don't have a run game whatsoever. Not to mention Sean Lewis's schemes, and options didn't fully jive with Shedeur and the WR room. Nevertheless, if we look back at at some of the games, you see his poise and accuracy. Also, there are times when the play was breaking down and Shedeur created something and either got the ball out only to be dropped, or he was sacked. I really don't think we got the best view of his abilities last season because of all of the issues. His holding the ball and trying to be a Brady like pocket Superman, got out of control. I really think the deficiency at the line was unfamiliar, and he was too hard headed to make the adjustment. In interviews he talks of feeling the pressure to make something happen, but many times he should of got out of there and thrown the ball away. Can go back to the last JSU season and get a different view... however I hope we get to see all that he can do in the Fall.
