Paul Simpson There was a band from London with the same name. I think they were around in the mid 80s. But this tune is from the Bradford band. I sang in this band and we started gigging in 1978 and split in 1980.

@@ianharding3514 A girl I was dating back in 1980, gave me this single, I still have it. Her brother was a pal of one or more of the band members

@@chrissampson509 - I love that you still have it. I never had a copy until I married an old sweetheart from back in the day. We were married in 2018. We had lost touch back in the 80s and reconnected in 2015. I was living in America but came back to England to be with her. She has a copy of the single. I assumed that someone must have given it to her, but she actually bought a copy, which is a bit of a rarity. I’m still singing and recording, and my wife, Rowena, sings with me.

@@ianharding3514 I still occasionally listen to both hey girl and reach the top. Music has a wonderful way of transporting me back to certain chapters of my life. Along with mainstream music of the very early 80's, those singles do it for me, great tunes. Good to know you guys got together in the end, hope you and Rowena have many years singing together.
