Senator Sheldon Whitehouse has a great name, a great appearance and seems to reflect the true soul of the nation as it recovers from the Dark Days of Dark Money. The deeply secretive Federalist Society and the Dark Money it controls, brings a level of intrigue and Machiavellian politics to the Supreme Court. All of which reminds me of the Dark Days of the Middle Ages when the Catholic Church ruled everyone's life.

I have nothing but admiration for Senator Sheldon Whitehouse for publicly exposing this truly astounding plot to govern America for decades to come. I have only two gloomy comments: (1) A [fictional] movie could never be made out his exposé, because the characters behind the scheme would appear to be too cartoonishly- evil for an audience to swallow in a movie house. Yes, once again, Life is stranger that fiction. (2) Democrats in the senate should start asking Republican judiciary nominees down to earth questions: What is the size of your shoes? Where do you shop for equipment for your yacht? What private schools did your children attend? Do you have a French, English, or a Danish au pair? Does your wife buy her jewelry at XXX or at YYY? And so on: Chatty questions. Clearly all other questions are pointless, don't you agree? It's called a foregone conclusion.
