So glad to see you review this. I've had the Schiit Hel for a couple of months now. IT IS AWESOME. Better than ANY on board or discrete audio I've ever used.

I agree. Even the little Fulla is a beast. Not the most powerful but awesome little form factor and good enough to power all my cans. I've been a happy Schiit customer for a while.

Incredible review. Best one I've seen on KZbin. It was nice to see one that concentrated not only on gaming, but with music as most tend to gloss over how they are with music as well.

Been using a Schiit Fulla, which is the $99 version of this and it's been awesome. Would've got the Hel but I was already overbudget on this NR200 build by more than I would ever admit to my wife :)

I appreciate the work you put into this! I've found your channel after independently deciding on a CM NR200 w/ a Rog Strix x570i w/ an air cooler and found your reviews there to be spectacular. And now as I'm digging into an intro audiophile setup, I appreciate the thoughts on my top contender so far (the Schiit Hel). You did mention here that you'd be digging into a split stack as well to see how it compares. Can I look forward to a video on the intro JDS Atom or Schiit alternatives?

People on reddit are saying the coolermaster sfx powersupplies have been fixed. Some of them are getting ones that don't advertise a "semi-fanless" mode on the box and say the constant fan wind up is gone. Can you verify? Wanna get one myself, thanks for all your content!

The hel 2 just released, so the hel without usb c can no longer be purchased. If you purchase the product today, it's gonna be the hel 2 with usb c.

You can order from the US to worldwide, it's powered by USB, so different power currents aren't a problem here.

I really like planar magnetics. Hifiman HE4XX or 5XX are sweet with this, a little heavier but the sound at that price can’t be beat.

I personally use magnius+modius setup for my beyerdynamic dt1990 pro/sennheiser hd650s and absolutely love it and I definitely recommend a bifurcation solution due to its modularity and also outright power output but MORE IMPORTANTLY it's PERSONAL PREFERENCE and nothing more if you like the clean look of an integrated amplifier then go for it

does it make any sense to use wireless versions of amp/dac devices paired with wireless headsets? I know there are a few, are there any good?
@comsubpac3 жыл бұрын
No, not really.
@infktiousvenom10612 жыл бұрын
Your not gonna get any power boost from a wireless dac, you need a wired gamedac, then plug in your wire included with the wireless headset.

Really want to get a good dac and amp setup I’m big on having good audio for music but I also want to have good audio for pc gaming. Is there a video on how exactly to hook everything up and what goes to what? I want a good dac and amp to also be able to connect a studio xlr mic and be able to drive the BT 990 pros but also listen to music to speakers for the best listening experience. Someone help. Point me in the right direction. Video. Or what I need to to set all this up.

If you are just a gamer use the integrated ALC 1220/1200 and this one only. Most DACs add audio lag and cause small delays. If you don't care about that you do you, obviously.

I don't think casual/normal gamers would notice or be at a disadvantage from this
@MachinesMore3 жыл бұрын
Competitive gaming, sure, it could be an issue, and external DAC/amps will introduce that to your signal chain. For that user the focus would be less on sound quality, going through the mobo directly would be appropriate. One important reason to get an external amp is if you’re driving power hungry headphones like planar magnetics, which competitive gamers won’t be using.
