''Dom being unavailable..'' thats half our problem right there. Poorly performed senior players keep getting a game at the expense of younger players. Dom Sheed is a club legend, Spartan to the core, but time waits for no man.. Dom has had his time in the sun, its time to put him out to pasture. Him and Gaff shouldnt even be considered for senior selection for the rest of the year except for a final game at Optus where the fans can say goodbye to them. I think we could say the same thing about Cripps and Darling.. we have the guys now who can step into their roles, so they should be getting a swansong game at the end of the year as well. Waterman, Allen, Maric and Bailey Williams are all capable of playing those key forward position roles... Maric on the wing or defense is interesting. Ginbey in Duggans position on the half back line might be an idea as well with that booming left foot of his, with Duggan moving to the back pocket.

Some of the young guys haven't earned their games yet. Darling and cripps playing important roles. The kids need to properly dominate the WAFL instead of being handed games like they have in the last 2 years.

@@stefandelhaize557 Who got handed games ? Seems to me senior players got parachuted straight in in after long absences and that was the basis of our problems, them being not match fit or having any kind of touch. Jack and Crippa arent going to be there for our next flag push, so why not see who out of this young group can play and who cant?. Seems Fletcher as a half forward is the obvious replacement for Cripps so let him have a run in his preferred position. This was the same problem Waterman had, for years he would get picked on the wing, and be rotated through a variety of positions of the bench, then would get dropped. Look at him now.. he is killing it now that he is playing where he was always supposed to play, as a key forward. Cheers .

@PeterM1-qx1tz who is fletcher?? Playing young kids in the AFL doesn't necessarily mean they develop, some need confidence in their ability and as I said need to dominate the WAFL. Who in the WAFL is dominating every week? Trew gets a lot of disposals but he's not AFL quality. It was the same when Luke Partington was labeled as the savior, fantastic lower league player but couldn't transfer that dominance. The senior players are crucial otherwise the rebuild takes twice as long, just ask north. We are in year 2 of a rebuild, we need the senior players so in 2-3 years time when they are gone the current young guys are early-mid 20s not all 18

Luke Partington barely played a game mate, seriously he didnt even get into double figures so I dont think thats a fair comparison. Look at the 1992 side, seven of them were playing teal cup in 1985, ergo they were still in high school , by 1989 they were all playing for the Eagles. As for North, they had a lot of coaches in a short period, thats a lot of different visions of how to play the game. Clarkson has only been there a year and a half and he has gone all in on youth and they are playing some decent footy now. If a senior player is doing the job like Yeo, sure... you keep him. The other guys, I personally think its time to move them on. Cheers. ; ]

@@PeterM1-qx1tz I strongly agree that Gaff and Sheed should not get a game. However Cripps and Darling are 100% playing their roles. We just need these kids to develop with some experienced heads around them. Once they have played 50-100 games things will look very different! We also need our WAFL side to improve, so hopefully those Veterans can help the other kids grow and develop.
