Admirable... but foolish. I mean sure the Bible has nice stories that one can find something in to empower oneself.... but it's just that; stories. Did Jesus etc. lived...yeah probably; but his story got already warped by a Byzantine Jew that converted after the death of Jesus and managed to gain so much power in the organization that he managed to banish most of the disciples and those that actually knew him to the Dead Sea (hence why the Dead Sea scrolls tell a rather different story of the facts) The story of the Byzantine Jew was very pandering to the Romans in order to convert Romans to Christianity. Later when Emperor Constantine made Christianity the main religion of the Roman Empire he had a council of Nicea where priests could pick and chose stories to get into the mainstream narrative and thus the Bible was born. So to go around the world and try to proof the biblical story as actual fact is just a waste of time and you'll find from the Dead Sea scrolls that the original story of the accounts is much more boring and 'human' then the biblical version of it.

I hear the Hindus in India say that one full Day/Night of Brahma is equal to 8.6 billion years. 6 (Brahma) days would equal about 51.6 billion years. I also think the zodiac plays a big part in Ezekiel's vision for the four elements Earth (Ox) Wind (Eagle) Fire (Lion) and Water (Man/Aquarius) and could be interpreted as an "astrological compass" of some sort.

Interesting. But I got the impression at the beginning of the video that he was going to explain in detail about Ezekiel's vision - but in the end he says "we may never know." Without contradicting any of the theories he puts forward may I suggest an alternative view? Ezekiel probably was conversant with these astronomical beliefs as described here, and he saw - not a 'vision' - an actual event that he interpreted and described according to the understanding, language and religious beliefs of his era. He would not have been able to describe an object of advanced technology. He would have had to describe it in terms that he, and his readers, could understand. I still think Von Danieken was nearer the truth on the matter of Ezekiel's vision. I appreciate our Naked Archaeologist is trying to prove the bible. Unfortunately it has been accurately said "you can prove anything with figures.'

Thats because these people dont understand what they are talking about. Because they dont expose themselves to the experiences of the ancients. "Psychedelics" were much more common and used than most are willing to admit. The 7 days of creation are easy to understand. Eternity aswell. Especially once one has seen it. The answers are all there. People just ignore and ridicule them. And no... Erich v.D. -as much as i like him, got hooked by his books @12years age- is so incredibly far away from the truth and yet so close.

There is a video called 'Ezekiel's Vision Zodiac? Michael Heiser' here on YT and it is about The four faces of the four animals or cherubim correspond to the iconography of the Babylonian zodiac. Each represents a seasonal constellation in Babylonian astrology, and each face or constellation also represented one of the four directions (N, S, E, W) or quadrants of the sky. Ezekiel is saying that God sits of the dome over the earth, the eyes on the circles are stars. Ezekiel is saying they are in captivity but God is still on his throne on the dome of the earth.

English translations of Ezekiel’s vision often break down at the point where the prophet describes “eyes” (עַיִן, ʿayin) on the rims of the wheels. ʿAyin occurs a number of places in the vision, but it is not always translated. Taking the esv as an example, ʿayin occurs six times in chapter 1 (vv. 4, 7, 16, 18, 22, 27) but is left untranslated three times (vv. 4, 7, 27). In the vision’s description of the wheels, the word ʿayin is translated once as “sparkling” (Ezek 10:9). Since ancient astronomical texts commonly describe shining stars as “eyes,” ʿayin can refer to stars or their sparkling appearance. (Check out Michael Heiser)

For Pete’s sakes, people! We may not be the ones appointed to know exactly what Ezekiel’s vision means. Remember in other prophecies, only Daniel or only Joseph understood in their respective times. Also in Daniel chapter 10, didn’t an angel tell him that that prophecy was for the future? That would be true for other prophecies in the Bible also, I would think. The explanation for why the earth seems billions of years older than it is seems viable...I’m no physicist but neither do I believe that the world was created on 4000 years ago, October 23 as according to this guy named Ussher. God is deeper than that. But we are supposed to concentrate on God and our relationship with Him and Not be so dependent on some cryptic words, true in their own way.

WTF does that mean anyway? are they not all fixed? maybe less clowning on ruins, less disco music and more actual exposition dood. same with the chair circles- he spends more time clowning around, then oooh at circles. just how long did he put the actual constellation overlay up over the image, 2 seconds? weak shit. I gave up watching ADDTV not ling after that.

I understand how Leo and Taurus fit in to Ezekiel's vision, but how do Aquarius and Scorpio fit? Where is the Eagle and Man in this scenario? Also, these symbols are also recorded in Revelation 5 & 6 indicating that the four living creatures led the song praising the most high indicating that they were more then symbolic astrological references.

The astrology in the story of the three Magi is significant. The star is actually Jupiter "the star of kings" and it was inside Aries (the lamb) over Israel. It moved because went into retrograde. That puts Jesus birth near Easter. He was 8 months old when the magi found him.

If you cannot respect or honour your forefathers and mothers wisdom or knowledge , you are here because they used their resources , their wisdom and knowledge helped them to survive, thanks to their survival your parents made you. If you have no interest in faith, don't denigrate others faith, each to their own. Now this waa a good show. It is my favorite of all the subjects. Quantum Physics is teaching us what years of misinterpretations and liberties have created around the Bible stories, and subsquently cause logical minds to question the validity. And Astrology is part of the science, possibly part of the Bible, in a positive sense. Leaders made Religions from the Spiritual for their Power and Control benefits. Constatine's Priests changed the era's common practices of Jesus Teachings for his *"1 State Roman Christain Religion"* and that was done to help secure his Stragetic plan as Emperor, and get the mass public to buy in to a new religion. The greater truths are emerging. ❤

Side note, there has been a lot of activity in the night sky lately! Astronomy vs Astrology... The use of the stars to know God and his plans for humanity and soon his return vs. the use of the stars for personal gain and to play god. idk 😐 if what he is saying is entirely true, but it’s interesting research... we can connect the dots to enhance our own knowledge of God’s word.

@@TheMichealfowlkes It happened to me too, once it happens you understand what Ezekiels vison was referencing, it is almost impossible to explain to anyone who did not do the inner work and experience ourselves as energy. It is esoteric knowledge, I find that all religions make sense I read the metaphors of Shiva/SHakti and see it as same phenenomen as opening chakras, the serpent (kundalini) being turned to a rod or (raising ones flag) the source of all knowledge is within, we are vessels when grounded and emptied of worldly matters/thoughts about material things and focussed on God vibrating with Love we can experience the burning bush which is never consumed. I also saw the four creatures who surrounded the chariot that helped me to ascend to my star, which hung of the back of my head, there I spoke to the Creator God who showed me creation, He explained how He created everything there was nothing He did not create, it was the throne of Love that I believe King David also experienced or even possibly founded. It's impossible to explain, I knocked the door opened, Christ stepped in and 50,000 doors opened at once. Well done, respect, keep going, the closest description to God is Love, when Christ said to Love each other He was right, they are the steps that lead you to God, when He said He was the Way , the Truth and the Light, He was also right, He sent me to my star to talk to My Father Creator, He showedme How to pray to God, how to thank God, He saved my life to be honest, it was experiencing the Living Word, Words that are life itself

ಬჩítიeყ elaíიe Hi! Don’t you have to have a DNA code/sequence in order for that something living to know what to become? And, you can’t have a cell without a DNA code and you can’t have a DNA code without a cell. Therefore, they had to be “created at the exact same time.” I’m trying to simplify this as much as I can. You can’t have one without the other - they could not “evolve” separately. Also, when the world was created Elohim could have made full grown trees etc. so it would appear to be 400 years old, lots of grow lines, even though it could have been created the day before. Because everything was made mature for life, beings and reproduction etc. . Just thinking out loud... take care!

In the Book "The Gospel Truth: The Heresy of History" on pages 39 & 40 Ezekiel's vision was of a battle standard. That battle standard was that of Ahura Mazda, the main god of the Persians. If you look at it the battle standard it has a very similar appearance to the vision Ezekiel was said to have had. During the final compilation of the Book of Ezekiel, during the end of the "Babylonian Captivity" (about 48 years ending in 538 BCE) when the Persians had invaded the Assyro/ Babylonian Empire. It was they who freed the people who were later known as Jews from their captivity. Ezekiel died c. 571, around 30 years before the compilation of the book. The Book of Ezekiel was finally compiled just before or right after the end of the Babylonia Captivity. It may have been dictated a little after the Captivity began and later compiled by one of Ezekiel's followers. No one has any idea what was added or changed.

Well... interesting. But to understand the Bible and to be able to comment on it, one has to read it first. It also helps to know the history of the people who wrote the book. It is clear the Naked Archaelogist people did neither. Even a superficial read of the bible books of I and II Kings, and I and II Chronicles, and the rest of the book of Ezekiel (yes, there is more past the first chapter) as well as history reveals there were time when the people of Israel introduced false believes into Judaism, including synagogues, and going as far as bringing idols and what not into the Temple itself. That would explain some of the "mysteries" here.

@Daniel Paulson Christianity did not evolve from Judaism, 'the old Law'. Judaism was abolished by Jesus Christ. Christianity stands upon compliance with the original Mosaic 10 Commandments which Jesus invoked and introduced new ones that replace the other 603, in the New Testament.

New Testament was written in a form of Koine Greek, which was the common language of the Eastern Mediterranean from the conquests of Alexander the Great, the true Jesus,a good percentage of the Schitzo god at least. The ten commandments are difrent. Ezekiel is not in the New Testament so it's irrelevant.

God creating the cosmos /Earth in 7 days as a Christian and somebody with a down-to-earth logical point of view on life, as a kid this bothered me but my interest of science I came to an idea the time was irrelevant to somebody that lives outside of it, so when I saw Lucy that one part is exactly how I envisioned God making existence, i imagine him resting on the 7th day was him watching his action in motion, laws of physics taking shape. For me it was nice to see some part of what i envisioned on what might have happened in our past outside of my self.

When the option was given to look at the dust below your feet, people dreamed of something bigger and looked to the heavens and saw patterns. It makes sense that everyone at some point came to the same realization and built these kinds of structures to mimic what what was happening above and keep track of what was going on below. Why wouldn't you want to do this? If we had only You Tube or IPhone as our guide, we would have withered on the vine and become dust like that beneath your feet.

Metaphorically he "ate" the scrolls (he learnt what the documents had). They then dropped him off and the space ship left in a thunderous rocket blast. Even his sheep ran away. Poor Zek. 😇😇😇

He must have known the ancients studied the skies, it states clearly in the story of the nativity that the Magi saw the "star" (now thought to be an alignment of planets) and followed it so they must have been looking up. One thing about that is when they said that they saw the star in the east, does that mean that they were west of Bethlehen or that they were in the east?

I'm glad that I'm watching this. The first science to interest me was astrology at the age of 7. I became a professional at 17. So that's a total of 50yrs as a professional astrologer. I was a natural at this art being gifted greatly by God. I was raised free of the Bible as this was never tolerated within the home. But Yes our Bible is absolutely littered with astrological references in both testimonys, the Old & New. It's just a crying shame that the wicked church of the west won the ideological Jesus Wars and sought to enslave mankind spiritually by denying our our development of our latent spirituality in life. While this wicked church sought to suppress all that was both morally and spiritually correct. Jesus taught that heaven can only be expericed by the flesh in the flesh once his divinity has been unlocked by his Holy Ghost. The church even denys this holy ghost. Preferring that you find this only in the after life. Where there is no life or form to enjoy anything. For in spirit alone there exist no thought or sensation of emotion, empthy or even love. Only that moment exist and that's not the heaven or peace as the prophet Isaiah spoke of.

Ezekial witnessed an asteroid firestorm over Babylon. He saw Babylonian sculptures and reliefs of winged animals being incinerated in an asteroid firestorm, thus explaining his ' winged creatures '. He saw a Babylonian chariot and its wheels in flames. The Babylonian Empire was essentially erased and 100 million people were killed in the cataclysm [ Daniel 7 - 9-10 ]. Ezekial's asteroid firestorm is mentioned in Revelations as Babylon being in flames. 586 BC was it ?

Even Israel had names for the most common constellations. Astrology however, was more of an eastern paganistic ideology, than Israel did. But "yes," Israel was most certainly influenced by other cultures, like Greek, Babylonian, and others. Just about every agrarian society, was observant of the stars, planets, the sun, moon, day and night, and the seasons, seedtime and harvest. Yahovah, had given Israel instructions on being observant of the celestial bodies, "They are His own Watch!" "They are there, for times and seasons day and night..." There was no crime in being observant of the workings of the neighborhood of Earth... It's how and "When," they knew when things needed to be don, or when things would occur. Israel, by the Torah, knew that each month began with the sighting of the 'New Moon.' Feasts and holy days were planned for, based on celestial movements above and seasonal events on Earth. Each day was, "from sunset to sunset..." Every seventh day, was "Sabbath, or "Shabbot." Other holy days, were also called Sabbaths, and Israel had to know when they occurred, to stay observant of Torah. If they didn't they would be committing sin! It was from pagan religious beliefs, and the mystical of the "unknown," that Astrology, became mingled with Astronomy And Astrology, is where people get the idea, that the stars have some sort of mystical power, to have an influence on your own personal life! And the planets also. And what year and day you were born, what stars and planets were crossing paths etc... "Only YOU," have the power, to set your own course in life. And that is done by the choices YOU make... No star in the universe can interact, change, curse or embellish that.

I once found a wallet filled with money in an alley, as I left the alley I bumped into a man who asked me for some money for bus fair. I only had the money in the wallet and was determined to return it to whoever lost it. I told him sorry I didnt have any extra money. I continued to walk another 50 ft and ran into a man who asked hey did u happen to see a wallet round here. I said yes I just found it. I returned it to the man who asked bout the wallet figuring I did a good thing. Only to find that the next day the first man I ran into by the alley had reported to police that he had been robbed by the second man I gave the wallet to,according to his discription. Is there something to learn from this.

Amazing series learning so much! I believe the 6 day thing was likely GOD's time, not this reality's time. GOd is outside our universe yet completely in it, originating outside in another dimension or place, time will not be the same. 1 year could be millions of years in our universe. Even in our Universe time runs differently depending on where you are and even what direction you're moving.

I believe the 6 days was the time it took to nearly wipe out all life on earth from a comet strike and it was in real-time. Adam & Eve are the survivors and repopulate the Earth. The book of Revelations is a warning of things that happened in the past and happen over and over so it's a warning but has nothing to do with any organized religion.

Maybe the purpose of life is to experience it & learn how to interact with others? But what happens when we die? Will there be an exam? Life is a strange College if it let's us set our own questions from a big reading list of Philosophy, Psychology, & Religious texts. And who marks us? Do we mark ourselves to determine our honesty? Thanks a lot Kathy, now I'll be up all night thinking about this stuff. If I work out the answer I'll post it on the web & we can all relax & get on with it. (what ever "It" is.

It's New Testament, but in 2 Peter 3:8, he says, "But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord, one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." And this from a simple Galilean fisherman. So even St. Peter was aware of this perception of time issue you're talking about. And it's because of those words of Peter's that I've never had any problems reconciling the Genesis creation cycle with the physical age of the universe as we see it. Even if you look at the order of when forms of life appeared on earth in Genesis, vegetation and other plants first, followed by the sea creatures and "every living creature that moves with which the waters swarm, to their kinds", followed by the birds, (and we all know that birds are the closest living relatives of the dinosaurs). then the land animals, it pretty much follows what we hear the authorities tell us from the fossil records.
