Weight Loss is a quest that humanity has been on for generations. As a species we’ve experimented with all kinds of foods, forms of exercises, and nutrition macros, just to get into a state that we perceive as “fit”. More recently, at least relatively speaking, the ketogenic diet is gaining popularity around the world, including in India. But just like any other diet, there are many arguments, both for and against it. In this video, we’ll understand what the diet exactly is, and what are the risks and benefits associated with it.

The lady doesn't know the difference between ketosis and ketoacidosis. Also she is not stating clear points. For example in the section 'is keto good for diabetics' , she says it's not because if they don't change their meds it will be bad. Of course it will be bad and the diabetics need to change their meds with keto. For a diabetic, the very purpose of keto is to reduce or stop diabetic medication. Then she says diabetes is a disease of high sugar and that can effect other organs. What she doesn't say is that with keto you blood sugar is not high anymore. Honestly speaking I feel anybody who is against keto (especially doctors) do not really understand what keto is. They blindly label it as another fad diet, and of course fad diets are very bad.

Exactly it is common knowledge that gluten and rice spike the blood sugar levels in the body, after a high carb meal of rice or roti, fats have a very low glycemic index hence a very good option for keeping the blood sugar spikes in check, the whole purpose of injecting insulin is to compensate for the erratic spikes in blood sugar levels as a consequence of consuming lots of sugar and carbs, if the blood sugar levels stop fluctuating the purpose of medication stops, this is just my understanding and I am not recommending anything to anyone here.

Please don't be fooled by anyone in the medical industry citing any fact on keto .... medical industry is a trillion dollar industry that survives on you being sick and management of your sick state.... anything that gets you healthy and against them making their earnings is totally against protocol....so please wake up folks

2 year ago,I went 85 to 72-75 in just 2 months by doing keto twice. About strength- in the beginning i was feeling weak but after a weak everything was okay. I was running 20 min and doing weight training 40-45min ,i felt very good NO SIDE EFFECTS AT ALL AND I AM PURE VEGETARIAN. Today,I am starting in again.

Have you lost more weight or is it just initial weight loss also if you really want to do a serious pure keto diet remove 99.99% of carbs in your diet recheck you diet fix it do it for a year go to the doctor and do some blood tests and check the result

Kaizzad sir's story. ...earlier people use to hunt and eat protein once in a day and that was a day meal...and that relates ....our body does not need so much food....just protein to repair.. fat to system function and little carbs just for maintainance.

There are literally millions of people who did keto to reduce weight, me included. After i lost weight, i went back to eating regular food and keeping a check on calories consumed per day. So i know for a fact that keto works for weightloss without any major side effects. The lady in the video is plain wrong. While i don't know if keto diet is good for lifelong, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that it works effectively for weightloss. Lost 12 kilos in 3 months!

The initial weight loss is because of water weight. The lady is talking absolute sense. Keto may have worked for your weight but there is more to your body than just weight. Health is of prime importance and your body's long term health may get adversely impacted due to the keto diet. Like the narrator and host said, there is just NOT enough research on keto and ew can't say anything for sure. I was on a ketogenic diet for a while, Low carb and high protein and fat.... Ended up suffering from a kidney stone and fatty liver. Reversed that with a plant based diet an am consistently losing BODY FAT and WEIGHT. True, there are millions of people who are losing weight with the ketogenic diet but the long term repercussion on the health are also a factor to be looked at.

I shed fat and water gained pure muscle mass at the same time ..I was using ghee butter coconut oil sesame oil and lots n lots of mutton fat ...fatty meat ,nuts ,...The best thing is food is tasty u can fry it

I am against the fact that fruits and grains in nature.... we manually cultivated it. Farms did not pop up on its own nor did fruit and grains make up more than 30% of natural vegetation. we upscaled it beyond natural limit.

Keto saved my life … literally .. I was a type two diabetic with an a1c of 14.5 when I began … my A1C is now 6… it’s been 7 mos since I started … and my blood glucose is STILL going down daily… I’m dropping weight like a brick falling off a skyscraper … my vision which was horrible cleared up.. my leg cramps went away .. My eGFR went from 33 to 94… and my fatty liver is GONE ..whoot whoot

The lady nutritionist said that keto is devoid of vegetables...absolutely wrong. There's a list of keto friendly vegetables and vegetables are highly emphasized by Dr berg. I agree keto isn't for everyone but keto and low carb diets do wonders in reducing dangerous fat. It's just about finding the right amount of proteins, fats and carbs that work for you. If lifestyle diseases like diabetes, hypertension can be cured with keto and low carb then why not try it.

Just got out of keto fever, I did it in 2019 for three months and lost around 14-15 kgs as well, back at it again! I was doing cardio for 40min with medium weight training, I’m vegetarian with eggs. Trust me it is the best decision I ever took for my body for faster loss.

I am a huge fan of the *HyperKeto program* .. I've been on it for about two months now and I can see great results. I'm not saying this just to earn a commission - I truly believe the content is high quality and the diet has been well adapted to my lifestyle. I can't do without it now! I've been on a diet for about two weeks and I can see the difference. It's not that I eat less, but that the food I eat is tailored to my needs. The program is designed in such a way that it helps me plan what to eat without sounding like something is out of reach. It also helped me keep track of my meals.

RIP kaizaad sir. My family have been eating carb loaded food low protein and both my parents are diabetic, I can choose to continue eating same and be diabetic or I have a choice to change my diet 🙏.

Neha, the nutritionist has not understood the basics of keto. It does not eliminate vegetables - just carbohydrate heavy foods like refined grains. Pulses are also fine unless you are very strict. Fruits like berries, avocados and olives are also advised as they have low fructose.

That's what I was thinking, there are plenty of low carb vegetables you can eat to ensure you have enough fiber in your diet. I do agree with her that there are many long term health disadvantages (kidney stones risk, fatty liver disease, missing out certain nutrients etc) but there are also ways to combat these, people just need to do their research and look up how to prevent long term and short term disadvantages when on the keto diet

while keto did help me lose weight it always give me theses headaches, u say its normal but my doctor say otherwise. he put me into this diet plant which is agoge and i never felt better when on a diet. keto never is the best for everyone

No need to harm yourself with the keto diet. It is just a matter of calories in, calories out. Following a structured and diverse diet like the Agoge diet helps a great deal though.

Calorie in and out doesn't work when hormones are affected like insulin and thyroid.. I suffered a lot nd tried all usual diets. Keto fixed all my issues within 6 months..

I struggled with the keto diet too much, I just felt exhausted. We're supposed to enjoy the food we eat and with the keto diet that's close to impossible. That's why I tried the Agoge diet and it works great.

I have tried other keto diet programs, but HyperKeto is the best. The customization features are really helpful, especially because I am a vegetarian. It also helps me to stick with the program and know exactly how much I need to eat on a daily basis.

I tried all the other keto diet programs and they just couldn't keep up with my needs. I don't know how they do it, but HyperKeto always has just the right meal plan for me. The moment I started following their plan, my weight loss goals were achieved much faster than I had anticipated. After only a month on their program, I lost 10kg

The lady here is mistgaken heavily. Keto does NOT mean you shouldn't have dairy or veggies. I am doing keto and I eat palak, cauliflower, baingan, bhindi, gobhi, dhaniya etc all day long. Also most days I have paneer tikka with dhaniya chutney for dinner. Keto doesn't mean its a carnivore diet. Keto promotes consumption of green leafy veggies with butter/ghee/paneer with eggs, mutton & murga.

I have been using HyperKeto for around 4 months now. I'm happy with the product, but I'm not sure if it's for me. For one, I don't know how much of a difference this is making in my weight loss and I am still struggling with my diet, so it might just be a waste of money.

Lots of cruciferous veggies, avocados are eaten on the keto diet along with the meats. You also must hydrate well and have good amounts of sodium to absorb vitamins and water well.

I am on Ketogenic diet currently and it has worked wonders. I check my Body Composition TWICE a week. There is good drop of Fat Percent and Visceral. WATER IS ABSOLUTELY NORMAL! Moreover, good growth in Protein and Muscle Building. NO MUSCLE LOSS AT ALL (like it did during Herbal Life) journey. I HAVE LITERALLY TRIED EVERYTHING IN THE MARKET. @@xkqy5594 Healthyhey Nutrition Potassium Citrate...Make sure that you have good amount of salt in your Nutrition. If you feel tiredness during the initial days - simply have a lemon water with good amount of salt...it should taste salty.

Actually Neha Ranglani spoke facts. I believed the same theory that Kaizaad and Siddhant Bhargav said and also followed it. Have paid the price for it... Am on a high carb, moderate fat and protein diet and am still burning off fat. After 22 years of training and dieting and experimenting with fitness and nutrition, I have learned one thing mate. Humans were predominantly born to be plant based, which means high carbs. Also there have been ample studies showing that carbs are in fact far better at fueling the body than fat. You've gotto follow the studies of some other people in the field like Dr. Garth Davis, Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn, Dr. Michael Klaper who talk about plant based and the resultant high carb diet.

I agree. There is a difference between ketosis and ketoacidosis. Wonder how come certified medical practitioners cannot make a difference between these 2 things. Its like saying dietary fat and cholesterol is the same thing.

You know what it might me surprising but the thing is I am obese 5'8 and 21 yo old and the thing is last 3 weeks I was eating carbs like a mad man and just weighed 100 kg just last 2 days I was on sharp keto I hit push day and pull day in gym and today morning I weighed 95 kg trust me I was feeling dizziness whole 2 days but today I ate carbs 😅I will start tommorow and will never turn back.

Sir, you've gotto check out Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn. The studies that he presents regarding a high carb diet and a plant based diet are pretty compelling. Also the highest number of centenarians are populations that are on high carbs and a higher plant based diet. Doesn't hold true often for an entire population of people that eat low carbs and high fat or simply those who are on a ketogenic diet. We are going based off of the studies these guys are spewing off on the internet. As a former meat eater and ketogenic guy, I have paid the price with my health and have thus switched to a plant based diet and am quite easily burning fat off. Turns out it was all about the caloric intake and not carbs at all.

I'm all for keto but Dr. Eric Berg is not a good example. He is not even a real doctor. He is a chiropractor who aggressively sells his weight loss products to his patients.

When people discuss diets, they talk about the impact of agriculture and that our bodies are not attuned to eating wheat or diary. Makes sense. But then they jump to eating avos all year round, unsweetend almond milk, butter in coffee and keto drinks. Which of our ancestors ate like this?

Weight loss only depends on one thing: Your Calories IN should be less than your Calories OUT. That's it. Keto or any other diet will not work if you don't follow this principle.

@@ravijarwal7633 not really over a period of time if consuming fewer calories than your body burns, It'll decrease your bodies metabolic rate i.e your body won't burn as many calories as earlier as it is receiving fewer calories and you'll reach a plateau state.

I agree to disagree with the lady dietician here that keto diet is only fats and proteins... well, the amount of vegetables (cruciferous) that I have been consuming on a keto diet, I have never consumed with any normal diet. The antioxidants we get from berries and the fibre from the greens, keeps the digestion on track ... it's just the most healing diet and I am saying this after trying almost every diet out there...

Neha Ranglani need to do her nutrition course once again. First there are multiple vegetables allowed in keto like cabbage, brinjal, cauliflower, cucumber, zucchini, mushroom, any leafy veg/salad etc. Fruits like strawberries, tomato, olives and other can be included if kept under the net carb. Chia seed and mct will keep check on daily bowel movement.

The lady Nutrition expert seems to be jumping fast onto conclusion by saying it is not good for the diabetics here is the argument why she is wrong - the prediabetic people can be on the ketogenic diet because they are not taking any medication which lowers the blood sugar- so when on keto diet they can maintain normal sugar levels just by switching - also on a diet which has higher carbs (not keto) the prediabetics will be on blood sugar rollercoaster- their blood sugar will be hitting high and low becasue the sugar control is not that good anymore as they are prediabetic- so keto will work wonder for them - similarly the diabetics who are taking medication can also make a switch with the help of a doctors supervision and making a switch to keto will also involve a reduction in their medications - the lady nutrition expert has jumped too fast onto conclusions - no wonder the third killer in US after heart attack and cancer is the medical error which is done by experts. Keto diet can be adopted by diabetics with adjustment in their medications and it is good for them. We see that a lots of people now have Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver these days because we are consuming a lots of carbs and lots of Fruits which have fructose and fructose is solely processed in the liver alone.

I'm not a quitter but I couldn't go through with the keto diet because it made me feel awful. I then tried the *Agoge diet* and I lost so much fat, and most importantly no more cellulite.

I love Neha... cz I don't know but why keto diet is not for me.... cz I had very bad experiences was doing ketogenic diet.... [ I love complex carb diet with moderate protien nd fat ] .. I Belive in balanced diet... and I m sorry guys....bt i hate keto cz its not fr me .... ... I am an Indian nd also hv pitta / fire elements body nd i love complex carbohydrates with protein and fat.... ND that's very good food for me .... ND also it's anti inflammatory diet ..

One question for Mr. Capadia. He asked that if humans were meant to eat carbs then why are we getting obese. He simply correlated eating high carb with obesity. I just wanted to ask that what about people who live in villages or who who do physical labour? Do their platter is decorated with high protein and high fat dishes? Do they even look overweight, let alone obese? These protocols are best suited for people who don't even want to move, eat a ton of food and still want to be in shape. By the I am not saying that these protocols are not effective, but the people by whom these are being devised and by whom these are being followed just want some new cutting edge nutritional science methods in order to get the results. Follow basic principle, eat less burn more. There may be some exceptions who might benefit from new protocols. But why are these protocols being marketed as panacea for fat loss slaaaaaash weight loss?

If you do keto diet properly by including lots of low net carb vegetables (cucumber, cauliflower, cabbage, Brinjal, Bhendi, Capsicum, Spinach and Lemon), 4 litre water a day, and include a multivitamin supplement, there are only positives with this diet. The lady who is providing here opinions does not eve understand what is a keto diet. It's not only about taking protein and fat. Along with fat and protein, you need to take lot of vegetables.

Keto is not good for Diabetics!? The female nutritionist doesn't really know what she is talking about and is stuck up in obsolete science and did not get updated. I live in Canada and in North America and all over the world, there are several renowned doctors who reversed diabetes in patients who are on insulin for last 10 years in just 6 months using Keto Diet. Learn about insulin resistance and what sugar (including Fructose in so called healthy fruits) does to your body. One source I recommend is Dr.Jason Fung , also 'Low Carb Down Under' channel.

This lady is talking nonsense. Keto is inclusive of almost all of the green leafy vegetables,animal proteins, eggs etc. Keto doesn't mean you go to zero carbs. It is simply about low carbs about 30gm per day approx. It is the selective Keto vegetables that have helped me get my father's sugar levels to manageable amount. I have switched to "Diabexy Atta" for chapatis. His sugar level used to be about 250-280 before food and he needed insulin all 3 times (both short and long acting). Now it has been 2 months and he needs insulin once in a day because his sugar level has dropped to 110-125. Just imagine, from 250-282 to 110-125. Keto is a blessing for diabetics.

The girl in the video has very little knowledge about how our body work. Just ignore her. She even said T2 diabetic not producing insulin, in reality they have insulin and they developed insulin resistance. Carb are just option for our body, while protein and fat are essential.

People should stop talking about the keto diet, it's not a diet anyone should adhere to without doctor supervision. Everyone should eat a balanced diet and that includes carbohydrates. For me, the Agoge diet plan worked wonders, I no longer have visible cellulite and lost significant amounts of fat.
