By the practice of yoga, the seven eminent chakras get activated. Talking about our clarity of speech, one who gets Vishudhhi Chakra activated properly, in a subtle level speech becomes sweet and attractive. On a higher level it gives Vaakh Shudhhi, which helps in manifesting their words into existence.

I finally came to a tipping point at 24 years old when I was working long hours and trying to manage a new family. Being so young the stress finally hit me hard and I began having anxiety and starting to go into depression. I saw many doctors but none really help me completely and my distrust in medications for depression lead me to find the joy of being out doors as a cyclist and the stress reliever of yoga. I couldnt believe what a change this has done for me and has opened my mind to understand others and their differences.

I'm a relative beginner at Yoga having come to practice daily for the last 5 weeks. I came to practice because of terrible pain in my hips and hamstrings, to the extent where walking up stairs or hills was extremely painful, and the pain was waking me up at night. Pain medication and conventional physiotherapy had little effect and I was worried about long term pain medication use. I couldn't even put my socks on without pain. Eventually I hired a yoga teacher to come to my house and she recommended Yoga with Adriene for practicing between our sessions. After just 2 weeks I began to notice some serious benefits. I am doing an average of a 15-20 minute practice every morning. After 5 weeks, I have noticed the following changes: Every muscle in my body, from head to toe, has gained strength and flexibility. I have significant reduction in pain to the extent where I haven't used medication for 3 weeks. I can look over my shoulder without pain and can put my socks on standing up (so my balance is improving too, I've NEVER been able to do that!). Yesterday was a great day because I skipped up the stairs without thinking, then burst out crying with happiness because I can't remember the last time I was able to do that! My hamstrings are still tight and I know it's going to take time for them to feel completely normal, but every day I notice little things that would have caused me pain before, no longer do. My posture and silhouette are both improved (being 50, my figure was getting a little saggy and my posture was ALWAYS poor). But the effects are mental as well as physical... I seem to be organically making better choices when it comes to food, and I'm drinking more water too. I use the breathing to calm and ground me when I'm feeling stressed, I am just happier all over because of the reduction in pain and I feel proud of my achievement of actually showing up at my mat every morning. I feel a huge shift in my psyche from being worried and stressed about a future filled with pain, to feeling younger and actually excited about my life. I never would have believed these changes would be possible after such a short amount of time so if you're reading this, what do you have to lose by giving it a go? I'm now on a mission to tell anyone who will listen.... give Yoga a try. My yoga teacher says if you do Yoga once a week, it will change your mind. Do it twice a week, it will change your body. Do it every day, and it will change your life. Love and light to all

Shakir Zakerullah - You can lift your own body weight anywhere on the road - at a truck stop - by doing lots of push ups and jumping as high as you can from a low squat position and if you can find a strong bar, doing chin ups. I was a champion wrestler and never lifted weights. Only push ups, chin ups, sit ups, jumping high, lots of stretching, sprints and medium-long running. A joyful mind above petty squabbles. Cheers! @@KingaGorski But what does it mean
@percival-hz5zj4 жыл бұрын
@@christiantaylor1495 I think it means creating actual space between the cells of your body on a microscopic level. And creating space between the blood vessels and channels of the body, such as the lymphatic system. It also applies to the creation of space between the denser aspects of your body, e.g. the fascia and muscles, allowing your body to open and get rid of blockages. In terms of the mind, yoga can create space between your thoughts through harnessing the breath. This allows you to realise that you are the observer of your thoughts and emotions (the energetic body), and may eventually lead you to realise that you, at the soul level, are not your thoughts, emotions or even your body. You are the observer within. I hope this helps.

Yoga is very misinterpreted.. Yoga is originally known as "Astanga Yoga" ..means, there are 8 limbs of yoga. Out of those 8 limbs, one is upayoga , or the physical yoga that is so popular now. But the aim of Yoga , as defined by patanjali , " is the complete cessation of mind "... The exercises are just the beginning part ..it's the 3rd level among the 8 levels.. Dharana ( effort) , Dhyana ( no effort) , and ultimately, samadhi ( cessation of mind) is the aim of yoga .

Can you just imagine how much developed the INDIAN SUBCONTINENT was, more than thousands of years ago in the fields of inner engineering, spirituality, science and medicines- that they developed such relaxing and curing body postures and mind calming Sanskrit mantras that are a key to the cure of almost every problem surrounding people - and now after so many thousands of years finally the people of the rest of the world are coming to know about the benefits of Yoga. But still many of the aspects of Yoga remain lost in time - so to have a complete understanding about all the aspects of Yoga, one needs to read all the ancient scriptures of India, basically all the VEDAS. There are many people who are practicing yoga and are getting benifitted from yoga- but they don't know that Yoga originated thousands of years before in INDIA and they even criticise India because they have many misconceptions about India. The main thing that I want to say is that if you are learning and benifitting from something- you should also appriciate and have a detailed conception about its origin, because if you don't know where you came from how will you appriciate where you are going. I hope people reading this comment will understand the benefit of knowing this. However, I feel proud and indeed very glad that the ANCIENT Wisdom of INDIA is being practised and being adopted by people all over the world now.

Thanks for sharing this. I think so many people are missing the vital point when it comes to Yoga . Most people thing it as if it is only the Asanas. However in truth Yoga is much more than that. Patanjali describes 8 limbs in the Yoga Sutras and Asana is just one limb of it. All the limbs actually lead one to have access to the universal mind and gives one the ability communicate with it and learn. Thats where Samyama is needed and as everyone that actually read the Yoga Sutras will know Patanjali doesn't share more than couple sentences about it. I know only one system online ( there may be more that I am not aware of ) that actually helps someone regardless on their level to reach to that communication. It is an online school called "Drukama" . You can check their videos on KZbin or Fbook if interested. Blessings and once again thank you for the share !

I live with a friend who’s on his 50s and he mentioned that he gets anxiety time to time.. few months ago he called me late at night to take him to the hospital because his blood pressure was high.. I practice yoga very often ( I want to become yoga teacher) so I told my friend to calm down and start breathing, but he insisted to go to the hospital. We were almost 5 hours at the ER. When we arrived home I told him that we will do a small routine easy yoga, my friend never practiced yoga before. Later that day after our meal we were talking and yoga came out on the subject and I told him “ok, we will do a meditation class, but check your blood pressure first” his blood pressure was 160/95, we started meditating. After 20 minutes I asked him to check his blood pressure, it went down to 125/74, he was impressed.. I suffer of hypertension and I feel the difference after my yoga sequences, I still take my medication, but yoga is the greatest medicine 🙏🏻💞

F.I.S.H Paragraph 9. The goal of life is self-realization, that is, to remember who we really are. We have lived for so long in this material universe in ignorance of our true nature that the process of realizing who we are will most likely take many incarnations. This quest for perfection is the most noble endeavour possible. One who is aware of his/her true nature overcomes all perceived suffering by constant remembrance of him/herself as an eternal spiritual being - beyond the mundane relativism of this phenomenal sphere. This is what it means to be "enlightened". Such a saintly person is extremely rare indeed. To read the remaining thirty-nine paragraphs of “A Final Instruction Sheet for Humanity”, which the God of all gods has graciously given to His Prophet on Earth, email: the1965@hotmail.com with the acronym “FISH” in the subject field.

Heartwarming to know that yoga asanas are practiced by millions all over the world. It really speaks to the way it makes one feel and the (w)holistic benefits. As an Ayurvedic Practitioner, I am witnessing how the popularity of the asanas eventually led people to Yoga's sister science Ayurveda (the science of self-healing) - what a great trend - developing the understanding and practicing how to care for oneself, building one's immunity, and health of body, mind & spirit. May the yogic sciences continue to spread far and wide. Aum Namah Shivaya ~

The problem is, people are associating Asanas as Yoga(Which is a part of the science). But, Yoga is not only the Asanas, but it is also a much deeper philosophy, which connects you to your inner self, simply said makes you introvert. Lets you ponder on what is actually causing the pain(physical, mental, psychological etc), and then the healing starts. Sadly, people only know dynamic Yoga of Sri Iyengar (not offending) but not much people know about gems like Kaivalyadhama, where Scientific Research is done on Yoga. I would also like to mention that I've attended a lecture by Mr. Satbir Khalsa and he is a brilliant man! Hope to learn more from such stalwarts.
@sacredcowyoga76722 ай бұрын
@@theintrovertstorytellers Kindly I need to tell you, the reason people only know dynamic yoga IS NOT because of Iyengar. It is because it is far to easy to become a yoga instructor, and taught through/people too young in their practice do teacher trainings…so the depth of knowledge is lacking in such a huge way. I am not here to defend Iyengar, he was a brilliant teacher and what he has left the world in the way of well trained knowledgeable, incredibly knowledgeable teachers that do amazing good work. All the flow stuff started with Ashtannga yoga and Patabi Jois, another brilliant teacher, it got basterdized and turned into “flow” yoga…somewhere in Los Angeles back in the 90’s, and it became a good way to make an extra buck teaching yoga: teacher trainings…and if your good on the computer all the better…a good dose of hubris and BAM you have a teacher training…oh you may have to spend a couple of weeks in Bali or Mexico, or Costa Rica, or some other exotic destination of your choice. Then after 2-3 weeks you are considered Qualified to teach this ancient and beautiful science . But the truth is, it takes decades to even begin to understand its profound depths. After decades is when we, SHOULD begin to teach. That would be the ideal…but maybe in the end it doesn’t matter where you begin, Hatha yoga, aka asana yoga..is an entry point, and an excellent one. …just a side note , Iyengar taught from the energy body…he use to say, I do not teach about, bone and muscle, I teach about the energy…again, this took me years to understand. There are medical classes helping people from all over the world, using yoga to help heal at the Iyengar institute. And he was deeply wise and helped so many people. There is so much miss understanding and misinformation in the Yoga community and about Yoga, but I think we should just keep practicing…and deepen our practice and see if through Yoga we can help make a difference in the world… more love ..more peace.

I was morbidly obese due to medications at the start of 2020 and i knew i had to make a change. As a former Judoka i had alot of knowledge of Asian natural medicine, meditation and spirituality, but growing up in an all white very homogenus community i felt alone in regards to it and didnt dare to practice it actively. That was until a few years ago when i started doing it on a regular basis, mainly Yin, hatha and kundalini (kundalini only a few times). Losing Weight meant that i had to endure the many side effects that a low calorie diet causes. I only ate about 300-400 calories a day while i was walking upto 2-3 Miles every single day. It was hell BUT This is where yoga changed the whole game for me and it gave me both a mood boost, self control and a serene inner peace. It made me gain control and neutralize crawings and intense negative emorions. YOGA IS AWESOME ❤️ 😊

Good for you to lose that weight. But the way you did it was extremely unhealthy. Limiting your body to that few of calories will do permanent damage. If you stuck around around 1500-2000 calories per day and burned 2500+ calories per day (which would be very easy to accomplish at that heavy of a weight), you would suffer far less damage. Yes it would take about 2x-3x as long to get to a healthy BMI, but you would not damage your body as much in the process. Either way it’s impressive that you had that level of discipline! Props to you. Oh and also medication don’t make someone obese. It was 100% undoubtably your own doing. I’m surprised you were able to find such a strong level of discipline without owning up to that fact. But at the end of the day what you did was very impressive and deserves all the praise in the world, even though you weren’t completely honest with yourself.

Great to point out that yoga is not simply a form of sports as it is prevalently believed today. Yoga originally means discipline and Yoga poses “Asana” means “the place where gods sitting” (the gods are ones in Indian culture, not related to the one in Christianity.) It is a way for spiritual awakening through physical approaches more than for obtaining cool physical traits such as strength and flexibility. When you keep a pose, Asana, good things will naturally happen to you in all demotions of your existence, which, I think, was described as “the god coming down to you and sitting there with you.” There should be scientific principles underlining its significance, which will keep coming out as illustrated in this video.

For people who have not read it, here is a book by Dr. Lipton appearing in this video- “The wisdom of your cells.” It presents some interesting points on the roles of the mind in biological processes in life although including some simple metaphors that are not accurate from a serious scientific point of view. I do not think this fact ruins the value the book because it targets the people not having a strong scientific background and tries to give general ideas about the topic.
