My memory is ok. It depends on how bad my mental health is at a certain time.

Dissociative amnesia here! 👀 Dissociation is a super interesting topic btw (but very challenging to cover well)

I like the description of "the unfit die off" for evolution much better than the others. It makes more sense to say "all the sea mammals who weren't blubbery, rotund, finny types died off when the sea temperature got colder" than "the whales adapted to their environment"

The only amnesiac I'm thinking of throughout this episode is Bucky Barnes from the MCU 💀💀

My memory is probably above average, but it doesn't feel that way. It's nothing close to eidetic memory, hyperthymesia, or photographic memory. However, the things I do remember are in fairly vivid detail. My first conscious memory is from when I was 1-2 days old, in the hospital with my mother. I'm told it's rather unusual to retain memories from before the age of three. There are many things I'd want to forget, but can't. At the same time, I do have memory issues resulting from depression. This makes my memory somewhat unreliable and frustrating. So I have to use the same study habits and memory aids as everyone else.

09:05 I‘d still be very interested in an episode about tr*ma or psychologicl related amnesia. The KZbin channel / project DissociaDID for example talked much about this topic. They even have a DID debunking series with researched episodes. Their studies and sources are linked so maybe there you could find some more information?

I love your guys’ pod cast so much, started listening last summer after becoming a NOAHFINNCE music fan and while working a crappy job listened to a couple years of episodes, it was fun to hear you guys talk about how capitalism sucks while I worked below minimum wage for a really awful boss getting covered in literal dog sh*t, I talk about you guys all the time and have really learned so much from this podcast keep doing what your doing.

I'd like to see an episode on the science of emotion/ emotion perception. I'm currently researching facial expressions & body language for an art based uni project on the visual communication of emotion through design. I think it could be an interesting episode topic, going more in depth into the sciencey side of it. The biology/psychology and actual causes of these things, as I'm just focusing on the external, perceptible things for character design.
