thank you so much for your intelligent delivery summarising such complex phenomenon. You have such a gift to describe this innerworld in a way that fills in the gaps/declutters my own understanding. I personally have achieved much healing and you tori are one of the people that guided me through the darkness. We truly are in an age of awakening consciousness. Hopefully enough people can witness their internal worlds and generate healing transformations so as to move toward integrating human conciousness more closely with the light. Peace

Ooooh, I love your content. It adds depth to my studies in ACT to become a psychotherapist grounded in an orientation of experience and presence. My personal use of Focusing also has been key in my personal life. Again, thank you ❤

Very interesting. I think I am beginning to understand why my NARM therapy works so well. Likely the combination of therapeutic modality and therapist. But it fits very well. Root-level focus on resolving issues through new experiences ✔ Emphasis on mindfulness for self-exploration ✔ Importance of safety during therapeutic work.✔ High level of therapeutic focus to make therapy efficient and often short-term ✔

This is an amazing explanation of how these new generation therapies work! I felt so much joy and inspiration while watching this! I am not an expert just a person looking for support and I have been doing inner family systems and somatic exercises, but it was never been clear before your explanation in this video. I even felt relief from understanding the big picture while watching your video because it was harder for me to structure it and explain other people why I follow these steps in my life. I will share your video whenever I need to explain these things to other people☺️

You really summarize what is going on well. In your presentation you make remarks about conditioning. Frankly, I think more clearly it is classical conditioning, which is an implicit form of learning. Conditioning is a broad term, and I don't think operant conditioning applies here. Keep up the good work. Robert Morecook PhD Psychologist [Houston]

Thank you so much! I'm a grad student and am struggling to find my theoretical orientation, but I do gravitate towards gestalt (which seems to be more of an experiential therapy) as well as psychodynamic therapy. I look forward to your other videos in this series:)

As a Catholic, we tend to think that we have these "unruly passions" that drive our behavior in ways that our intellect and will oppose. St. Paul talks about the law of sin that lives in him that makes him do the things he doesn't want to do, and that it is this that sins and not him. He unblends the passions from his intellect and will and seeks to tame them and put them into right order. The passions are not considered evil, only their disordered expression is. We look to Christ as an example of a person who has fully integrated their passions into their being. When he ought to be angry, like at the purification of the temple, he is, and when he is meant to be sad, like at the death of Lazarus, he weeps. He allows the full expression and feeling of his emotions without allowing them to cause him to sin. So, it seems like the ideal is to get all of these parts to be integrated under the mission of Christ. This way, we (the self in cooperation with Christ) can heal and unburden our parts and achieve the glory of God: man fully alive.
