It actually makes me angry there are so many people who don't deserve fame and fortune, and there are people like you who i could sit for hours just in awe of your amazing talent, your talent, your voice, just, everything about you is amazing. I really hope you get recognized for all this on more then youtube, by record labels who want to sign you, who want to throw money at you, to have people sit and be amazed by you too :)

I agree with everything you've said. But it seems to me that sight-reading musicians never really try hard or long enough to play by ear, since during lessons, they never had to use the skill(lessons lean more on reading, usually). If one tries, they can do it. I started out only reading as well and LEARNED to listen and play. What makes a great musician is someone who can break from those groups you explained and sight-read, as well as listen, I was almost always expected to in high school :s
