Wow you guys did great on this build! I know chasing a ground noise can definitely be a head scratcher! But you guys really put in the work on this build. Can’t wait to see the videos on Nolan demoing the Scion!! Bass on!!❤❤❤

Brand is just a sticker and alternator is causing high magnetic field through wires amd if you dont have proper grounding then just ground the neg sig on rca's but affects signal, a signal processor will change that at rear away from power wires
@xxg0t3mxxАй бұрын
ive had to do that many of times do a outter ground or they make actual grounding loops in line for rca. mine did that on my car now and worked flawlessly

I wish I had more room. I have a '98 GMC Sonoma single cab. I'm thinking about what I can get behind the seats. Maybe 2-3 CT Sounds Hydro 12" shallow mount, 500w Rms. Not my first choice but I don't know what to do. I was thinking Savard Rap 12's, but it would be tight in there. Even better for Bass or worse for room the new JP 1300rms 12's. Until I can do a blow through or a camper shell and rear window removal I will have to make it work.

@Moddwerx3DtechАй бұрын
Hey Jerry, if you hook a ground wire to the casing of the radio it will play louder and take care of the ground loop altogether
@JerryAintloudАй бұрын
we tried that and it didn't make a difference.
@BobBassheadАй бұрын
Pioneer head units have the same problem with noise caused by the RCA jacks not being grounded. From the factory their grounded through a fuse on the circuit board that looks like a green resistor. They blow because people forget to hookup the ground on the amp, the amp is grounded through the RCA cables and soon as you crank-up the volume the internal fuse pops. So I have been told.
@namegoesherenone6449Ай бұрын
This was over 20 years ago 😆. They were popped because feedback in the radio's amp due to bad power/ground connections, or backfeed into the radio caused by bad rca's

Man I miss my little xb ! I had just gotten it running and sounding better than it had ever been and a damn deer jumped out in front of me on my way home from work one night and totaled it out. I really wish now that I would’ve kept it and just fixed it myself but I just took the insurance money because I had to get back to work and I had to get another car to do that.

So I'm a bit confused on what your alternators were reading on the clamp. So only 69 amps on a 400 amp alternator? What am I not understanding? Is it because the voltage of the battery is high enough that it doesn't require such a big output at that time?
@Moddwerx3DtechАй бұрын
Just because it’s a 400 amp alternator doesn’t mean it pushes out 400 amps at any given time. It only pushes out 400 amps at high idle or at 1000 RPMs while under a load. So if he’s demoing his vehicle and it is requiring the alternator to push 400 amps for more power to the battery then it gives power on demand. But when sitting at Idle your alternator is only putting out about 70 amps for normal operation.
@JasonWW2000Ай бұрын
It's an on-demand system. As you pull power out of the battery the alternator will replenish it. So to actually test the alternators capability you have to put it under a heavy load such as maybe 500 amps.
@drewanderson8279Ай бұрын
@@Moddwerx3Dtech thanks that's kinda the way I figured but wasn't sure
