I think you're right about the scouts' challenges. It's not that they're hard, its that they're hard to keep track of.

Exactly! I’ve done all the challenges multiple times and the best approach is to write down or type out all the challenge requirements, then re-organize the appropriate ones by task. (Combine all the camera challenges into one list for example) With how long it takes to reach the challenge requirements page, it’s almost like a memory game as well.

@@revivaldan well, there's a trick to the camera ones. Take photos at events like Tea Time, Campfire Tales for Entomology or at Scorched Earth before looting. You'll pop off 2/3rds of them in a single photo if you're lucky.

Good for carnivores, too. I sell rad sugar bombs at 1k caps regularly. Do this with a nuka cola collectron, and you can get it to collect both types.

@@Vhx124 if you’re using the scout master collectron, it will be default. It won’t show in the list of choices when it’s active. If you’re using another Collectron and you have the Scout master unlocked, use the scout master choice.

The biggest thing about getting this collectron is we don't know when we can get it. If it's late in the season it's not as useful for that season.

Yeah but, it would then be useful for any future seasons. Also depends on how fast you can get to lvl 100; some players get there within half a day.

@@bradgreen9225 okay so what you’re missing is the actual badges. Go to the challenges menu and under “World” all the way at the bottom you will see the badge requirements. It’s not explained very well in-game, that’s for sure. Please let me know if you need any more help!

I have the "standard" collectron bundle. I also have the rusty dog collectron. Thinking about getting the FETCH clean look dog collectron. Can I use the FETCH dog the same as other collectrons by programming the terminal for it to collect the different loot pools?

Yes they can all be reprogrammed to another collections loot pool!

You can reprogram them as long as you have another type of collectron as long as it's in a camp. You can't reprogram them in a workshop so when I grab workshops I put the specific collectron I want in the workshop whether that's the raider, nuka, Fasnacht (for the sugar bombs) all depending on what I want to farm.

@@revivaldan alot of the tadpole challenges I have trouble with, I usually just go back to tending my shop after a few tries. Most of them are quite dull to be honest.

@@Angel28366 well if you would like my advice: you only need to obtain 3 badges to advance to possum, as well as complete the Helpfulness, Kindness, and Bravery quest parts. But Archer, Athlete, and Hunter are the easiest 3 badges. I usually write copy down my tasks in a notebook when I am doing the pioneer scout stuff, because going back to check the challenges menu gets annoying. Also it’s easier to see when you can double dip on tasks. For example you can kill a radstag with a hunting rifle (Hunter task) and also take a camera picture of that same dead radstag (Mammalogist task).

The difference between Brain Bombs and basic brain fungus soup is not huge. BB is +3 or +6 with herbivore for 90min. Soup is +2 or +4 with herbivore for 30min. In my opinion the extra two int BB gives, is not really worth it. Sure it all maters in the end but reaching the 4k experience cap per kill is not that hard to do by stacking all the other things.

You’re not wrong, the difference isn’t huge, but I still know that many endgame players prefer Brain Bombs. I think it gives more than 6 INT as well, with strange in numbers, magazines - maybe like 11 INT? I don’t remember off hand

3 irradiated sugar bombs are needed to craft Brain Bombs which increases the INT stat, which increases XP. And all players no matter the level could benefit from more XP, especially for the Seasons grind to lvl 100.
