2:41 This extremely small and subtle detail is really important! Really glad that you made this a big surprise by diminishing the ost to create shock. Eren's early win in the battle made it like he's going to defeat the WarHammer titan easily, hence making us believe that Eren's hardening will withstand the WarHammer's blow. The shock when Eren's head was blown away was completely ignored in the MAPPA episode as if it was nothing surprising. You really paid attention to how Isayama creates suspense and twists in the manga! You used different osts to create different atmosphere, tension and dynamics. On the contrary, the original by MAPPA just dragged the same OST for the entire fight and there was no sudden surprise or twists at all and it felt like watching a silly superhero fight tbh. Thank you for your edits, I think they are very faithful to WIT's directing and Isayama's ingenius work. To prevent a misunderstanding: Thanks MAPPA for their hard work and people who harrassed the directors are irresponsible, but this should not exempt them from fair criticisms. Yes we should defend MAPPA but let's not shut down any fair criticisms from AoT viewers. The discourse on AoT has become impossible to show disappointment with the show, people will shove "be grateful don't complain" to your face if you speak out. Furthermore, MAPPA changed the interpretation of Isayama's work by ignoring numerous small details. To me it does not "feel" like AoT at all, AoT s4 became a generic shonen anime. I know MAPPA can do better just look at Jujutsu Kaisen. If only KODANSHA didn't pressure the ridiculous deadlines then regardless whether WIT carried on or MAPPA took over, it would have been more amazing and not rushed. I also think MAPPA's or whoever's decision to not use the trailer scenes was a huge mistake because it wasted huge time and energy for the entire MAPPA animators. It's not like they had to redraw every single thing because there are some scenes that was used from the trailer with little changes. Redrawing the War Hammer scene, Armored titan defending beast in ep 1, and the Eren jacket scene must've been a waste of time and energy for the MAPPA animators. The trailer also created false expectations a year before the actual air date. It was so intense and no wonder people were so upset when the actual anime was so different! I was actually very confident and relieved with MAPPA's handling of AoT from the first 2 episodes, I think the directing was great despite the glitchy CGI (but that wasn't a problem since it's just for a few seconds). It started with ep 3 when they couldn't even properly do a smooth transition for the pre-opening scenes and pre-credit scenes, the cuts were so rough and awkward. I don't like how MAPPA used lots of rough black screens instead of fading to black like WIT. The entire Declaration of War and War Hammer scene really changed my optimistic views on MAPPA but the Sasha's death episode was really good! (Notice how inconsistent the episodes are!) The Eren jacket scene was just too silly for me to handle, instead of epicness I ended up laughing at how ridiculous he looked. Then the Levi vs Zeke scene was top notch again. Goddamn s4 is so inconsistent but what's done is done and at least MAPPA made s4 possible for us to watch at this moment.

I agree with every point,i liked the added siren sounds but i think It would have been better to have the entire eren scene rampaging in marley and warhammer first appearing and getting wrecked by eren, completly without epic soundtracks instead with just the sirens and the people screaming to add a realistic horror and war scene,the epic soundtracks could come later after the panel with the warhammer Titan information since from there they would have the focus be on battle and less on the destruction that eren caused to Marley

my argument , i think the mappa one is better , i would add the sirens but the flash to the dead royal guards and lara herself and the grief she’s feeling but her duty to finally fulfill her royal and family duties to be the war hammer and protect , it sounded like a theme that fits the royal of the tybur family but the intensity of the war hammer when she started forming , after eren beating it to a pulp, the theme transitions to more less intense but it’s calm and a bit scary , it’s like a calm before the storm and battle as commander magath tells his soldiers that eren yeager the threat of the world they were just warned about on stage is there in person himself , i tgink the over dramatic sound effects and music makes it more heroish where the original makes you feel what the war hammer and war staring itself.

This edit is pretty much perfect. The soundtrack was perfect, it really felt like I was part of that crowd, especially hearing the sirens and the screaming. Up until this point we are a bit unsure of Eren and his plan, but the way you edited this sincerely made it feel like Eren doesn't exist and all that is there is a monster. If this was shown instead of the original version, I most likely would've pissed myself.

I love the sound design from 0:47-1:17. The warhammer slow transformation sound is very unique and exciting, the sound of eren hardening his fists, the improved smashing sound effect compared to the original clanging sound in the anime, and then the way the sound and music resonates even after the cut to the informational bit. Awesome stuff man!

@@goratuti1098 Nah, in fact, if you look closely, during the whole sequence (I recommend you to watch the whole scene, not this one that is summarized) he hits the neck areas at all times, since he was trying to kill her, it was useless to hit the head, on the other hand, and more for the end, you can see how he hits the lower part of the jaw (the fragment shown in this video), there if you can justify a little the whole issue of sound change, but if we get thorough, the blow is still within the range of the neck.

Ok, gotta admit Mappa did make the fight much more alive than the source material. But the small stuff you added man... The heavy-impact sound effects, the siren , it all adds up to a really beautiful, more impactful scene. El Soundtrack oficial en la escena introductoria de Mikasa estuvo muy fuera de lugar tanto como en las escenas de lucha durante el episodio (nunca me gustó Ashes in the fire, suena como Marvel y la usan todo el tiempo como si no hubiera otro tema) la re-edición fue genial, sin embargo, me gustaba el sonido original de las lanzas relámpago 3:35 pero la explosión fue bestial 3:40 Tambien cabe recalcar la eliminación del innecesario diálogo por parte de Lady Tybur, con una frase basta. It would look inconsistent. Same with 3th season Colossal, it was very inconsistent, every scene the design was changing between 2d and CGI and it was really easy to notice, it would had happened the same here.
