Would love to see an iptv stream of the old techtv one day. Eventually those shows are gonna get released from whatever vault they're being kept in.

56:38 has me doubling down on cursing the then-nascent Comcast DC for not carrying TechTV back then, to wit : "Where was this when I might have found it most useful?"

Comcast screwed everything up. Even since the beginning, according to Leo, someone, I forget the persons name put his own money into tech TV because comcast didnt want to and the people that took it from there through Comcast were apparently big jerks. Hopefully I'm remembering that correctly. It's like they purposely didn't want it to succeed. Such a shame because us as kids and teens took advantage of these shows and knowledge but today it's all swiping through 5 sec shorts. Our minds have genuinely changed.

@@systematicallyshocked I believe it was Paul Allen, a co-founder of Microsoft, who initially bankrolled TechTV

@@floydjohnson7888 yes!! You’re right! Could not remember his name. Awesome. I was on Dish Network who had it early on, later Direct who then later took it off. It was a complete mess. The thing is I’m positive there is a room just full of VHS tapes in storage somewhere with every single thing ever shown just waiting for LG Channels/Samung tv and the like to air it 24/7. The one I saw on Tubi only had the newest relaunch I disliked. I’d also go as far and include the mid 2010s The New Screen Savers (to air with the old) who often featured alumni and Leo’s fellow TwiT crew who I thoroughly enjoyed.

When tech shows were for actual people who wanted to work with computers not just push a mouse. The hosts were no dummies either they had to know their stuff since the callers were not simpletons.
