What I like about The Script is that they write the songs to represent the men who are mentally suffered for missing someone they love, like I mean they touch my feelings. My current situation is like this song and I have no intention to stop listening this song. I'm really glad that this band exists even though I'm currently battling my feelings

Loved these guys for so many years. Heard Man Who Can't Be Moved and saw the video on tv, loved it, the music was soul-filled, addictive and real and I've seen every album come out from the first and I can't fault their art. Their music will forever touch me. Bands like The Script are inspiring, no matter how many times you get told no, if you have a dream don't let one or two "no's" stop you if you're determined enough, you'll get there and thank yourself that you didn't give up. It's a shame that The Script don't get nearly enough credit for the masterpieces they create. Grown up with their music, can't wait for more. x

Truly one of my all time fav's. I'm a songwriter and am forever trying to do what they've done here - tell a story and convey the emotions therein, e.g., the desperation. They've done that tenfold. Many of us have been to that point where we feel and hear nothing we want to feel and hear. It's the bottom and only way is up. They captured that completely to me.

She came over, we had a wonderful vacation picking strawberries, mind blowing romancing, art museums, Harry Potter World in Orlando, lovely restaurants. One month later, she says she's visiting her aunt in DC. I later find out she's enrolled in a Master's program at school, when she was saying she never wanted to be in graduate school. It's hard looking back, trying to figure out which parts were real, and which parts she was faking and lying about.

Lyrics: Am I better off dead? Am I better off a quitter? They say I'm better off now Than I ever was with her As they take me to my local down the street I'm smiling but I'm dying, trying not to drag my feet They say a few drinks will help me to forget her But after one too many, I know that I'm never Only they can see where this is gonna end They all think I'm crazy but to me it's perfect sense And my mates are all there tryna calm me down 'Cause I'm shouting your name all over town I'm swearing if I go there now I can change her mind turn it all around And I know that I'm drunk but I'll say the words And she'll listen this time even though they're slurred So I dialed her number and confessed to her I'm still in love but all I heard was nothing So I stumble there, along the railings and the fences I know if I faced her face, that she'll come to her senses Every drunk step I take leads me to her door If she sees how much I'm hurting, she'll take me back for sure And my mates are all there tryna calm me down 'Cause I'm shouting your name all over town I'm swearing if I go there now I can change her mind turn it all around And I know that I'm drunk but I'll say the words And she'll listen this time even though they're slurred So I dialed her number and confessed to her I'm still in love but all I heard was nothing (nothing, nothing) She said nothing (nothing, nothing) Oh, I wanted words but all I heard was nothing Oh, I got nothing (nothing, nothing) I got nothing (nothing, nothing) Oh, I wanted words but all I heard was nothing Oh, sometimes love's intoxicating Oh, you're coming down, your hands are shaking When you realize, there's no one waiting Am I better off dead? Am I better off a quitter? They say I'm better off now Than I ever was with her And my mates are all there tryna calm me down 'Cause I'm shouting your name all over town I'm swearing if I go there now I can change her mind turn it all around And I know that I'm drunk but I'll say the words And she'll listen this time even though they're slurred So I dialed her number and confessed to her I'm still in love but all I heard was nothing (nothing, nothing) She said nothing (nothing, nothing) Oh, I wanted words but all I heard was nothing Oh, I got nothing (nothing, nothing) I got nothing (nothing, nothing) Oh, I wanted words but all I heard was nothing Oh, I got nothing (nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing) Nothing I got nothing I got nothing

This song really breaks my heart , the part that really hits me is "I'm still in love but all I heard was nothing" it's really sad how someone can still be in love with someone and the other person not feeling the same way .

Or how someone can be in love with someone and the other person always felt nothing for them or loved them in a different way, as friends or whatever. It sometimes does ruin the friendship too.

The sad part about today's society, is men are suppose to be strong inside, and outside, we are viewed as things with out feelings, we are not suppose to feel, but we do, we get it from family, friends and girls, the problem is no one is empathetic to men, but it's the world we live in, until we go insane, or just end up hurting ourselves or others, it's sad really not many people are gonna read this or like this but it's the truth, I been around for 25 years and all I know is pain, being broken, and to move on like life is good even when it's not, lost my mom this year, it's tore me up inside, I been in trouble, had 51/50's on me, I don't feel the same, I'll never be the same again, I try to numb my pain with alchol drugs but none of it works, but I still do it anyway, because that's the way a man's life is. To be numb to everything, even to those who care about us the most. Everyone who reads this, there is a meaning behind this, stop pretending like men don't feel or have emotion, we do it's what separates us from the world, this is also for women as well, your all beautiful inside and out, whether you feel like your nothing, or worthless, your not worthless, your life has meaning, purpose, like people all around the world, we all have things in this world that make us feel worth it, we all have one life to live, Don't throw it away, don't be like me, Hurting those around you because of the pain inside that's too deep, even a therapist can't help you, I know, I know.. I'm getting to real, I'm being real because it's time someone says it, besides I know no one gives a flying fuck, About what I say, and to prove it, most of you will read this, and scroll on, Which is what I'm saying, Pretending, like everything is good, numbing the pain, or even avoiding this, I know because it's like this with me, all day every day, I don't hear from people, I don't get phone calls asking if everything is ok, or how I been. Truthfully I'm not, but that's just reality, smacking that smile you have on your face, Because when it comes time to realize what I'm saying is true, To you I might sound depressing, or like I'm ranting on, but I'm not, I'm being real, I'm myself, Even though I don't feel like myself most days, Like I'm not alive, even though I'm breathing, I just don't want to see people hurt, the way that I do, Like I said don't be like me, Don't feel like a waste of space, even when you feel alone, or that you don't matter, because you do, me on the other hand, it's too late for me, but those who it's not too late for, keep it in mind, don't let this world take you down, like it's done to me. One love!

Chris Keoni my brother .. reading your words itself is very painful.... time heals everything.. be assured that there is a brother for you .. in remote corner of India .. who understood your pain & felt it. Nothing always remain same .. its the law of universe to take you into change. I am sure there is light ahead for you. In few years things will turn around, you will be blessed with the happiness having family & friends around you. Good luck brother!!

[Verse 1] Am I better off dead? Am I better off a quitter? They say I'm better off now Than I ever was with her As they take me to my local down the street I'm smiling but I'm dying trying not to drag my feet They say a few drinks will help me to forget her But after one too many I know that I'll never Only they can’t see where this is gonna end They all think I'm crazy but to me it's perfect sense [Chorus] And my mates are all there trying to calm me down 'Cause I'm shouting your name all over town I'm swearing if I go there now I can change her mind, turn it all around And I know that I'm drunk but I’ll say the words And she'll listen this time even though they’re slurred So I, dialed her number and confessed to her I'm still in love but all I heard Was nothing (nothing, nothing, nothing) [Verse 2] So I stumble there, along the railings and the fences I know if we're face to face then she'll come to her senses Every drunk step I take leads me to her door If she sees how much I'm hurting, she'll take me back for sure [Chorus] And my mates are all there trying to calm me down 'Cause I'm shouting your name all over town I'm swearing if I go there now I can change her mind, turn it all around And I know that I'm drunk but I’ll say the words And she'll listen this time even though they’re slurred So I, dialed her number and confessed to her I'm still in love but all I heard Was nothing (nothing, nothing) She said nothing (nothing, nothing) Oh, I wanted words but all I heard was nothing Oh, I got nothing (nothing, nothing) I got nothing (nothing, nothing) Oh, I wanted words but all I heard was nothing Ohh, sometimes love's intoxicating Ohh, you're coming down, your hands are shaking When you realize there's no one waiting Am I better off dead? Am I better off a quitter? They say I'm better off now Than I ever was with her [Chorus] And my mates are all there trying to calm me down 'Cause I'm shouting your name all over town I'm swearing if I go there now I can change her mind, turn it all around And I know that I'm drunk but I’ll say the words And she'll listen this time even though they’re slurred So I, dialed her number and confessed to her I'm still in love but all I heard Was nothing (nothing, nothing) She said nothing (nothing, nothing) Oh, I wanted words but all I heard was nothing Oh, I got nothing (nothing, nothing) I got nothing (nothing, nothing) Oh, I wanted words but all I heard was nothing Oh, I got nothing (nothing, nothing, nothing) I got nothing [x3]

My dad listened to this song over and over when I was young. Right after my parents divorce my dad would listen to this on repeat. Makes me cry thinking about it and the memories of their divorce. Being the youngest of 7 older brothers. My father being the boss of the company. Working for my older brothers and dad being the youngest is hard. Nobody listens to me at work. I moved out at 18 now 24 with a daughter. Life can be tough. Dad has a new girlfriend driving brand new GMC Denalis while my mom has nothing to show after the divorce. She struggles ever since the divorce. I could go on my life is so weird.
