Hey man, do you know if all of the stuff that got released last week is available for download anywhere? Specifically the Rough Mixes of DIY since that video doesn't seem to work on here

Anybody know who wrote the unreleased stuff. I presume the Minus Blue tracks are by John Squire but what about the others

Moth is one of Chris' songs. Tombraid is John's. I suspect the rest are Squire's but it's hard to confirm, hope this helps.

Nice1 again dude!…drums is my first instrument so I’m a bit anal when it comes to bands drummers..drums sound cool on the first song..whenever I hear old 2nd album recordings the drums sound too sessionyee/too well produced lacking real feel but that first song they sound cool..makes me Wanna listen to the song whereas in the past the drums on second album have sounded cheesy putting me off listening…I think I’ve mentioned it b4 to yer but Andy’s drums always helped give the band a good dose of chemistry..the other dude as good as he was made the band sound too cabaret..similar to when Maddox tried filling Renis shoes…what do you think of the second album drums?
@-cityinthesky998 ай бұрын
I think Marks drums are infinitely better than Andy’s , but his are good too.

I've always thought Mark Heany's drumming was clinical sounding a really clunky. Watt's drumming on the debut is far far superior... shame his drumming seemed to go to pot for whatever reason. His drumming on the Viper gig footage is great, just like on the album but later on he seemed to have serious problems playing in time. Chris Helme once suggested in an interview he couldn't really drum and sing at the same time, which sounds about right. The gigs would have definitely been better without any backing vocals!

…but I agree Chris with the lyrics ..they don’t stand up…tomb raid for example 🤦♂️ cheesy as man…the music ain’t too bad tho

These really benefit from having proper lead guitar parts on them, they give the songs a darker come down vibe than the songs that leaked previously with only sparse parts and rhythm on them

These versions are great, but not sure what you mean here.... coz the earlier leaked tracks were later studio versions with all the intended guitar parts!

@@TobyDunnit really? My memory may be a bit foggy but I recall the Minus Blue leak was mainly rhythm guitar parts and was missing intended lead parts, but my addled brain may be misremembering that, if that’s not the case the second album was going to be a lot more stripped back guitar wise than DIY was

@@TobyDunnit Not accurate. Most of the original bootleg is unfinished. With the exception of Anamorphosis, 700 Horses and Night Train. Regardless, after being lucky enough to hear a lot of the 2nd album demos, I'd have to say the direction they were taking the material in was a regression, in my opinion.
