Great video, guys. Enjoyed watching it. There is great value to be had in Bordeaux, you just need to know where to look. Other Chateau like Ormes de Pez, Cantermerle, La Cardonne, Peyrabon, Siran, Laroque, Lafleur-Gazin, etc. come to mind but there are so many to explore and enjoy.

This is a nice video and guide. Indeed, it is easy to find great wine for the money in Bordeaux. You really don't need to spend a lot of money for seriously good wine. Many New World regions can't even compete at the same level for the same amount of money. And I mean across the board: yeah, you can find a Napa Cabernet Sauvignon that doesn't beak the bank here or there, but there are hundreds of great Bordeaux for a song. An approach I have to buying Bordeaux is to get wines from "lesser" appellations (I hate to use that term, but I really mean the non-classified growths or most famous regions for example) during the higher rated vintages (2015, 2018, 2019, etc.). For example: Blaye, Medoc, Bourg, Castillion, Cadillac, Entre-Deux-Mers. Or, get Cru Bourgeois or 4-5th classified growths from the more prestigious appellations (Saint Emilion, Pauillac, Margaux), in so called "off" years. Heck, even in good years those non-1st-3rd Growths are a great deal as Matthew shows here. Unless you've won the lottery or are a professional sports "star" , you can't afford the crazy-expensive famous stuff, so save your money and still enjoy truly great Bordeaux for very little money. I can't tell you how many times I've purchased US$15-30 bottles that have amazed me. I just had the 2015 Chateau de Chantegrive (Graves) that was delicious....and I paid like $17!

It is very drinkable but I do like a few years more on Bordeaux before drinking it. It depends on if you like younger wines.

They're a new winery with a super compact wine facility, however is equipped with the top of the line technology for wine-making. If you want to find a game changer in the wine world you should definitely check them out !
