THE SEARCH FOR GORILLA'S & SEALIONS ON LONGLEAT'S JUNGLE CRUISE

Join me on my search for Sea Lions and the rarely spotted Western Lowland Gorilla's at Longleat from around the lake.
I'm off on a voyage of discovery where Californian sea lions escort you, hoping for some tasty fish. At feeding time they leap out of the water and land with quite a splash. Along with the opportunity to feed the sea lions I will cruise past Gorilla Colony, a lakeside retreat for Longleat's band of lowland gorillas hoping to catch a rare glimpse of one of the four members of the troop.

Great video Steve, I didn't realize that Longleat had these animals, too! The sea lions sure look eager to get some fish! That must have been a fun day! Hi Gwen yes these animals have been at Longleat for a while now and yes they are always hungry and always so loud but it’s worth it for a chance to get a glimpse of the gorillas and always fun. Hope you had a good weekend too! Steve

Really good and as you noticed the hippo field is empty at the moment and the plans for the future on the hippos. You might want to watch last year's episode of Animal Park and it's episode 3

Thanks Jed for your kind comments. Yes I remember watching that one. I can only ever remember once seeing the hippos in the water at Longleat other than sleeping in the mud hole. They are missed for sure but hopefully they will replace them eventually.

Hi Chris it’s about 20 minute round trip in all. However this attraction during peak can have a long queue so I would suggest if you go to do this one first thing when it’s quieter. Steve
