The Search for High Quality Rolling Stock. Rapido, Moloco, Athearn Genesis. Do These Make the Grade?

Since I have a smaller 12x20 railfan layout so I don't have a need for a large roster of rolling stock. What I've decided to do is buy a few high quality cars vs a large number of lower quality cars. I'm on the search for the best rolling stock regardless of price.
