Got it last weekend. My most anticipated release of the year and it didn’t disappoint. Finally, the rich Technicolor look is restored. Some are complaining about signs of grain management, but I didn’t notice anything from 8 feet away my 77” QD-OLED.

Thank You Adam. This is my favorite movie. Period. This 4K is absolutely flawless. It is perfect! I am so pleased. I would love for Warner Archive to get a hold of Ben-Hur next. George Feltenstein has said they are looking to do other 65-70 mm 4K releases!

Still waiting for my copy to arrive in the UK. It will be even easier now to see the station wagon driving along a road in the soldiers crossing the frozen river scene. In fact you may see it in your still picture of that scene. I don't recall the Gig Young hosted segments since the laserdisc release.

Thanks Adam. Great review and 4K transfer for such an iconic movie. I hope that we get a good 4K transfer whenever we get a 4K release of The Outlaw Josey Wales which is also a great western. Definitely in my top 3 Clint Eastwood westerns.

Glad to hear the transfer is nice -- I ordered this as a blind buy from Orbit but it's lumped with Lifeforce so won't get it until Feb or March!
