Join me on a journey through the heart of London, where I take on the city streets as a lone longboarder. This isn't just a ride, it's a battle against the urban jungle - dodging tourists, navigating crowded sidewalks, and carving my own path through the concrete maze.
The adventure begins at the iconic Westminster Bridge, where the usual suspects - the "3 cups scammers" - try their luck. But I weave through the crowd, my board gliding effortlessly beneath my feet.
Lambeth Palace Road and Albert Embankment blur past in a rush of wind and city sounds. I feel the city's pulse beneath my wheels as I head towards Vauxhall, brushing past the imposing walls of MI5.
The riverside walk unfolds like a scenic canvas, offering a glimpse of the majestic Battersea Power Station. I carve through Thessay Road and Stewarts Road, the rhythm of the city drumming in my ears.
Battersea Park Road opens up, a haven for fellow skaters and cyclists. I weave through the throng, the sun glinting off my board as I approach Alexandra Avenue.
A moment of peace awaits at the London Peace Pagoda, the serene Buddha monument offering a brief respite from the urban chaos. But the call of the city is too strong, and I head west along the riverside, the cool breeze whipping through my hair.
Exiting the park at Albert Bridge, I switch sides, the cityscape unfolding from a different perspective. The E3212 carries me eastward, the urban landscape morphing into a concrete labyrinth.
Finally, I return to Westminster, the journey coming full circle. The camera sputters and dies as I reach the Churchill statue, standing sentinel opposite Big Ben and Parliament. But the memories of this second circle - the city conquered, inch by inch, on my trusty longboard - will forever be etched in my mind.
This is more than just a ride. It's a story of resilience, of carving your own path through the urban jungle. Hop on board and experience the thrill of the ride!

I really appreciate these videos. Been recovering from rotator cuff surgery and can't skate, so this is the next best thing.

Your pavement-to-street jumps are getting smoother and smoother. 😎 Btw, did you experiment with wedging the front and dewedging the back? Its a very cheap tweak but may be interesting to make the RKP Trip more nimble and at the same time even more wobble-proof.

Instead I have 50deg and 44deg tracks and I love how stable it is. I can't put any riser on this drop true set without the danger of wheel bite. I could 3d print some wedges, temporarily do the bottom mount for testing, and see if I could transform it into a pump set. Sounds like a fun project for a weekend.

@@bartek...Nice one! I love this sort of directional setup, so stable yet maneuverable. I guess the front truck may be ok for wedging because it is then even further away from the deck. But the back truck may be an issue as it approaches the deck when dewedging. Good idea to test out in top mount!

I agree! I really enjoy this camera setup for longboarding. Especially when the camera is held behind, it is like a 3rd person skating video game.

@@thornygreenwood yes!!!!!!!! When it’s too late or the weather is crap, I watch these videos and it motivates me to try to go a little further the next time.
