That’s not exactly true. Bailu is also capable of destructive powers, but when the preceptors saw her potential, they didn’t want a repeat of the sedition so they shackled her tail. Bailu is actually the bloomborn scion, an experiment created by the preceptors. There’s a lot of in game evidence to prove this but I recommend watching Lalody’s lore videos because it helps explain this a lot. Dan Feng’s power was never split, because that would imply he chose her as the high elder (but that’s impossible because he didn’t know of her existence). The only thing proving this is that Dan Heng can’t heal yet, but there is no explanation for that. When Dan Feng was arrested, he didn’t speak a single word until his death. The preceptors claimed that Dan Feng said that Bailu should be his successor but he didn’t speak at all.

A correction, Dan Feng is Dan Heng's past life. Dan Heng's name was always Dan Heng, and he was exiled to protect him from the preceptors who wanted to keep him locked up for their own convienience. Dan Heng was not supposed to be locked up, he was only kept in the prison because preceptors lied about the situation. Which is why he was released. When the preceptors got bold about demanding him back that made Jing Yuan and the other arbitor generals side eye them. Hence why none of the generals or high ranking officials are shocked about the preceptors' betrayal in 2.5.

fun fact Dan Feng (DF for the rest of this for simplicities sake) was framed for the High Cloud Quintet disaster in relation to Baiheng/Bailu. Yes, Beiheng dies after following DF and Yingxing into battle, but that's where his involvement in her story ends. DF's real crime was bestowing immortality onto Yingxing using Shuhu's (an eminator of the Abundance) skin. Thats why a part of Blades kit is called "Shuhu's Gift". Also, Baiheng's death hit Jing Liu (JL from here on) hardest. Not DF. Baiheng was essentially her girlfriend with how close they were. JL tried to visit her after the battle because she had only just learned that Baiheng had died. She was initially denied, and succumbed to mara after seeing what happened. The only thing _really_ tethering her to sanity was her drive for revenge. "Out of 5, 3 must pay the price" was JL's creed originally. Blade picked it up through JL torturing him. Bailu was a product of the councel greenlighting Sanctus Medicus to perform experiments to introduce new life forms into the hatching rebirth cycle.

It's nice to know the Paths do relate something about the character like how the elements work in Genshin. Anemo characters with the exception of Jean always are affected by the death of someone close to them. This death greatly shapes who these people become. For better or worst. Pyro now is clearly about passing the torch from one generation to the next. How this torch is passed can be willing or Unwilling but in the end. It's an Inheritance of something from the Previous Generation.

I believe the Visions similar to Paths is hsr have their own stories and why their given, except, they don't play off as an extremely important part of the story and are relevant both gameplay-wise and lore-wise towards their characters, Which is also (i believe) why not many people know about how they play off. i only know that cryo is given to the ones stuck in between two roles, and Anemo is given to ones who have a will for freedom. It's definitely alot easier to make sense of and connect the dots as to why each character got there visions when you've been watching lore/theory videos and keeping up with everything for practically 4 years now, but i'm in no mood to drop my 58 page essay about every characters visions in one comment.

I believe Hanya's excuse for being harmony is that her kit and character were supposed to be the yin to Xueyi's yang. It feels like them together was supposed to basically be 5 star power split into 2 pieces if that makes sense. Xueyi got the destructive part, Hanya got the supporting part.

As much as i tend to dislike this character, I have to admit. This is going to be entertaining. I have always wondered why he was on the path of the hunt. (Which yes, i became addicted to finding out the reason behind characters second/alternative paths after watching a few videos of you're series even if i don't understand/know most of the Aeon origins and their stories and how they choose their emenators) So, i'll sit back, and eat my imaginary popcorn (Pun intended but accidentally.)
