Also it doesn't line up with what we know of Dan Feng and Yingxing's characterisations so far. Especially Yingxing who straight up said in DH IL character stories something along the lines of "none of us are special - She (BH) sacrificed herself like everyone else (XZ soldiers)!" Which implies to me that their only motivation was to revive BH.

Worth noting the reason Bailu's tail was shackled was bc she demonstrated water and thunder powers and the shackle was to prevent another sedition incident But if Dan Heng got the destruction powers and Bailu has healing why would they be worried she could cause destruction on the same level as Dan Feng? They also lied to her and said it's a High Elder decoration, seems incredibly suspicious to me

They blame on Sunday. Robin know this and beg for mercy. She is not just stay silent. People always portrayed Sunday as villain. I still not convince about bailu isn’t baiheng and being a pure product of sanctus medicus. First of all why would the preceptor even bother to learn about transmutation arcanum if they already able to create a new vidyadhara. Then in another letter it said sanctus medicus experiment in turning another species to vidyadhara end up in failure. Baiheng, a foxian, turn into bailu ,a vidyadhara, also in line with taoran obsession in turning other species into vidyadhara and learn about transmutation arcanum. Well if we want to cinnect everything then maybe bailu was created by sanctus medicus using draconic abomination remnant. But it still technically make her baiheng “reincarnation”

The reason why they still bother to learn the transmutation arcanum is because with Bailu they needed the horns of Dan Feng to make her, which would just mean that from one High Elder you can get another High Elder, but only once, thus making it impossible to make another one (as explained in the video). Also, your logic in your second line is flawed, if it was Baiheng's "parts" (let's not forget that the only things left of her were blood and hair) that were used to make Bailu, THEN they would not need to bother to learn the transmutation arcanum, because they would already have proof that they can transform other species into Vidyadara successfully, but they don't, because such a thing it's just a theory from Taoran and they are looking to modify the transmutation arcanum to make it do such a thing.

The thing is, it's not probable that Bailu is Baiheng when Baiheng dies she left so few of herself, just some drops of blood, for someone to take her dna and latter use it, also, as we learn more from Yingxing and Dan Feng we see that neither of them were the type of people that would disregard/ignore the sacrifice Baiheng did, her death was heoric and they knew it. Also, there are archives in the game that put Bailu's birthdate as something more recent, wich makes harder again to use Baiheng as a source of material for her creation.

​@dryyynnn Yingxing's ranting was induced in him by Jingliu's torture after the sedition, not his own words, when he talks you can hear Jingliu's voice overlapping. About Bailu's age, in the readable called "Undestroyed Letter, a preceptor mentions giving Bailu to the Alchemy Commission for them to take care of her, the preceptor says that she is young and this has to be less than 30 years ago because it's a letter to Dan Shu and that's the time she has been head of the Commission. I agree that in fiction just one drop of blood is enough to create any clone but my problem is that someone had to take that drop from the battlefield and I don't really see who could have done it.

I also can’t find any reason why would even jingliu gaslight his own bestfriend to thinking he stained their other bestfriend remnant. You missed ther part where the latter also mentioned bailu was already learn from danshu predessesor, this mean she already exist even before danshu become the head of sanctus medicus.

It’s stated in the video, they are different reincarnations with different memories. The only reason Dan heng kept some of his memories from his past life was because the preceptors wanted him as their high elder and tampered with his rebirth process. Dan heng is his own man.

The belief that they didn't use Baiheng's remains is where I cast my doubt. Simply because it would have been readily available to them and would have had both Shu hu's remains and half of the elder's powers, which can also regenerate making it the perfect test subject. Also Dan Feng would have turned back into an egg while they were experimenting. It rather counterproductive to bend over backwards to make excuses rather than just use the simple answer. They picked up where Dan Feng left off and were successful.

it's actually highly unlikely that baiheng's remains could've been used since the only remains she left behind were a few drops of blood and a tuft of hair while the rest of her body disintegrated. in addition to that, dan feng also specified the draconic abomination was created with the blood of his race and the soul of his ancestor which means it was likely only a combination of vidyadhara cells and the flesh of abundance (shuhu)

Jingliu frozen it because otherwise it kept regenerating. So to back things up, >fact: Baiheng's DNA was used to create the abomination was spliced with Dan Feng and Shu hu's remains, which Dan Feng and Yingxing thought would revive her. @brightlight8852 the abomination didnt disintegrate, BAIHENG did. this is stated in dhil's character stories where dan feng witnessed her turn to dust during the battle against shuhu as far as i'm aware, there was nothing there's been nothing to suggest the abomination had foxian features, though if you do know i'd love to know where this was stated just to be certain. that aside, the only only person that has implied that the abomination was created in an effort to revive baiheng was jingliu and as it stands she is not a 100% reliable testimony as she was 1) already on the edge of becoming mara struck when the sedition occurred and 2) was not there to witness how and why dan feng and yingxing created the abomination i also wouldn't write off the possibility that the preceptors used dan feng's dna to create the abomination just bc he molted into an egg since he was kept alive and held in the shackling prison for some time for interrogation (this was also around the time they removed his scales and horns) and dan heng also spent a considerable amount of time in prison after he hatched before he was banished from the luofu

@bea7038 One of the eggs says that Jingliu fought it multiple times because it could regenerate. As far as we know, the event happened in Viddayadara territory. There is mention of it being defeated but no mention of what happened to its corpse.

Im quite sure the whole "Dan Feng chose Bailu as his sucessor" was a lie fabricated by the Preceptors since we know that until the end, Dan Feng did not speak to anyone. Also, considering he was regarded as a sinner, why would they let him choose his successor?
