My parents went to a James Brown concert back when I was 5 in 1966. They took me and we sat up in the “nosebleed” section. The arena was packed. It was very hard to see, especially since I was so little. But all I remember was a lot of applause and cheering during his performance. There had been some booing after the opening act because it took a while for James to take the stage as the headliner. So people got restless and angry. But once James took the stage, it was like lightning struck. I wish I had been older so that I would now have a better memory of that concert. A true legend. RIP ❤🙏
