Could this be used in a 3D shader to make tall grass react to player movement?

Could you use this on an x and y value to make like an elastic rope type thing?

Universal tut , works same in unity, hope you keep teaching things like this which are engine agnostic 🎉

(Sorry for my English) This is a cool video dude. Are there any functions inside the engine ready to be used for similar effects?
@mrelipteach Жыл бұрын
Not really, that's why I'm showing this technique. You can get similar result using an AnimationPlayer or Tween but there are drawbacks to these techniques
@mythology100 Жыл бұрын
I initially thought it was a tween you were using here. Great stuff nonetheless!
@mrelipteach Жыл бұрын
Tweens are cool but you need to define the animation by hand. Here you get a cool result by just playing with the spring and damp values

You can make the same with the Tween Node.
@mrelipteach Жыл бұрын
I said it in the video, but you don't have the same ease of use tweaking the movement with just two parameters.
@nemene8585 Жыл бұрын
Yes, but tween nodes require you to call a bunch of functions and with this technique you just put this in your code once and it works whenever you change the value! Plus you only need to input 2 values, while with tweens you have to put in a minimum of 4
