2004-2010 was one of the best era for GT1 cars. The cars are instantly recognisable as road cars (yes, even MC12), and they all sounded fantastic. Growling V8s from Saleen, Corvette C6.Rs, and Ford GTs, V12 howlers from MC12, DBR9 and Reiter Murcielagos, and even Nissan GT-R got big honking V8 as well. And this is before we got into the lower GT2 class with F430, 997 RSR and V8 Vantages. Imagine if CCGT was allowed to compete as well...
@toddthezondalover645Ай бұрын
I think the Gumpert Apollo being a GT3 car was a shame. Definitely could have been made into a GT1. There was a Mercedes SLR 722 GT, that was pretty much a GT1 unrestricted. The McLaren MP4-12C came a little late, but that would have been cool.

@RamadaArtistАй бұрын
They are literally the only hypercar manufacturer I have any respect for. Pure engineering, none of effort of maintaining a bullshit pedigree. His cars aren't supposed to _look_ fast, they're supposed to _be_ fast, and I don't think anyone else out there is committed to that ethos in the same way with production vehicles. His road cars genuinely seem like they're made with every intention of being able to race in Le Mans, and that they just _happen_ to be legal on the road as well.

Something that really excites me, a lot of what Christian is saying about his interests in racing directly parallel things Gordon Murray says, can you imagine if they sorted their categories out and you had konigseggs racing gma cars?
