Diabellstar seems like she would be a fun protagonist to follow, with the whole "cursed weapon" thing allowing for an arsenal that could be amazing to watch. Guess I can add her on the list of Yu-Gi-Oh cards that I would love to see a proper anime for, alongside Revendread Slayer, Gagagigo, Raye, World Legacy, etc.

I don’t know if anyone else mentioned this but I didn’t hear it in your video. One of the things that has me excited about disbellatar is that I think the monster is based on a real person. Belle Starr (nickname) was a real American outlaw and I’m excited to see what they have for her in the yugioh lore

I know this hasn't really been done with a lore archetype before, in tandem with a world release, but I am partially convinced Tistina is another archetype in the lore. In terms of design they have a lot of similarities with Snake-eyes and its setting mechanic seems like something that can be easily turned into a Sinful Spoils tech just like Snake-eyes' spell/trap zone mechanic does. As for my thoughts on Diabellestar as an archetype, it's really fun to see the Devil May Cry type video game mechanic of the hero gaining new tech and weapons based on the boss monsters they beat being turned into the card games.

This feels like episode 1 of an anime. We witness our badass outlaw protagonist doing her usual thing, killing monsters and collecting treasures through the use of her abnormal abilities. I imagine that in the next set, episode 2, we'll be introduced to some kind of travel companion/support character for her. Maybe another monster of the same archetype, maybe a rep from a newer archetype made for this story

If you want something cheeky, mix evil eye with Destiny Board. Which is literally a 15 card side deck basically. Three destiny board, one of each letter, three sentence of Doom, 2 dark Spirit's mastery and three dark sanctuary. So you can still run pure evil eye but then smoke screen into Destiny Board. Which I have managed to pull off twice

i probably not original to come up with this but running this in a link deck would be crazy. flameberge activates if it is sent to gy in anyway, including as link material, giving you two more monsters on the field for material or even more if 1 of the monsters is a snake-eye that didn't activate it's effect this turn, or a jet synchron imagine sending one snake-eye and jet synchron to bring out flameberg, turn one of your opponent's monsters into a spell, flameberge and another monster into a link 2(sunlight wolf), revive the snake and and jet(and maybe return the flameberge to hand with sunlight wolf), use them to do whatever, revive jet again also you could use magician's soul to send diabellester to grave, and if you have hunter fiend as one of your spells, you can send it and the other spell, draw 2, return the other spell with hunter fiend

id say the archtype has a decent enough gameplan to stand on its own already. put some extra deck support and negates into the mix and you have a deck focused on continuous non-destruction removal with high otk potential. there are already other small archtypes that work just fine on their own with a bit of generic support like dragonmaids and labrynth which both rely on small monster swarming into one or two boss monsters just like snake-eyes.

My headcanon is that Diabellstar is hunting the Spoils down to prevent their power from being abused, and she knows too well who wants to do just that. Thus, she's being hunted. Plus, the spoils themselves seem to not like the notion of their power being used for evil ends, thus making their partnership with Diabellstar make more sense.

diabellstar wopuld probobly bee a good archtype for the new yugioh proteganist. tcg style anime, not rush duel. make it on theme as a tresure hunter to get more cards to make up the extra deck. and boom, you got a base line for a story to work with. as far as i know yugioh story's. they seem to start with the proteganist to base the rest of the story off.
