Same here. What I find interesting with comparing is the fact my ex's family would never stand up or say a bad word about him because they were afraid it would get back to him. If you went against him, or tried to tell the truth against his lies, he would take revenge out on you for it. I felt so bad for his mother. One time he got put into a state hospital cause he tried to hurt someone. She was the one who called it in and he got picked up. The stupid facility told him who reported him after he made sure to put on his best behavior to get out. He made her life a living hell for a while after that. He had nothing to his name. He wasnt someone in a powerful position with a lot of money, or goons who would likely do anything to get a higher position under him. So imagine a very powerful person who could get away with a lot of things. Many people might be in fear as to what he will do, even if he is behind bars. This same ex had friends coming by my work checking on me even after we split and I had no idea. I didn't find that out till years later. Some people are very dangerous narcissists who are very good at manipulation and if you go against them they will take it out on you and feel they are in the right to do so.
@TylerDurdinАй бұрын
@ Very similar experience. In my case it was a woman and I’m a man, so I was an easy target. Basically everything you described I experienced, so no need for me to share details. She was making a ton of money. The family and friends though. Like why they acting weird and whispering in the house. And she’s telling them all these lies that I could disprove in 2 seconds. In the mid-90s, I was a teenager breaking away from gospel music, hoping to find a place in the industry as a songwriter. I grew up in Jersey & back then, it honestly wasn’t that hard to enter the same spaces as major artists. You just had to know where to go. I was in between NY & Philly and people might be surprised that artist circles are very small. You can be a nobody and attend an event or two and the person you chat up could often set you up with someone close to an artist. I was so damn scared by my experiences. Nothing bad ever happened, aside from having some music stolen (common practice). However, I can’t fully explain the change in the energy around these people. Not just the stars but the hangers-on and the other parasites: all opportunistic, highly manipulative, smooth talkers. I never felt safe. It was like being surrounded by wild animals who were waiting to pounce. It seemed to be an entire culture of predators and victims. There wasn’t much in between. You’ll find yourself shaking hands with someone you deeply admire, only to feel their eyes pierce you in a way where you can feel yourself being assessed and measured for what kinds of things you’ll allow. I was a church girl and a virgin so I was absolutely naive to this kind of thinking. Sorry this is so long. The Bad Boy crew weren’t worse than everyone else. It seemed to be everyone! So called “conscious rappers” revealed themselves as snakes. I never felt I could trust any of the people I met even a little and the kinds of stories that floated around re: raping young girls were horrific. MANY new artists were simply SA victims who learned to deaden themselves to the trauma. Lots of them would openly say, “Oh yeah, he drugged me and I woke up with all these men having sex with me.” But they stuck around. They’d be the main ones pushing me to go the same route, as it was such common practice, it was like paying a toll for entry. All these women thought about was the prize at the end of this fucked up rainbow. They all wanted a payday. I think these artists never expected anyone would have the power to take them down. In the past, there was an unspoken “no snitching” clause we all followed.

Diddy didn't have fans, he had sycophants and yes men surrounding him and protecting him and themselves in the process. It will be zero shock if it is proven in court that he had hits out on both Pac and Biggie. Pac and Suge both openly disrespected him and made him look dumb at every turn so that is no real surprise, but Biggie was supposed to be his best friend and yet Biggie was working on getting away from Diddy and setting up his own label after discovering just how bad a deal he got and confronted Diddy about it. Yeah, we know why Diddy just so happened to be in a separate vehicle that ran the light the night Biggie died. If you are on high alert as a security crew you 100% stay together as a team.

@@ACTHdan Staying together as a team doesn't necessarily mean everyone in the same vehicle, it does mean every vehicle stays together as a caravan for protection of the occupants.
