I like Beyonce a lot. She's a very beautiful woman and a great performer though she bites a lot taking other womens styles and others songs claiming it 4 herself posting thst she wrote the song taking credit 4 their work. Not giving them the recognition they so deserve. Not paying homage 2 these desrving ppls. Rhianna beat Beyonce by a long shot. She sings a variety of songs, not just R&B. Beyonce is a great performer. She's a great dancer. Kudos 2 both. They both are doing their thing. It's just that there's NUTHN fake or phony about Rihanna. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

The reason why Rihanna was so successful in music is bc she decided to leave the typical black RnB sounds to explore other genre of music and even fuse other music. She had a lot of EDM, house, rock, reggae. She basically sampled every sound out there. She stepped out side of the comfort zone. A lesson to be learnt in life

Explain how she was forced to be an artist against her will? I feel that maybe after some time she got burnt out from it and fell out of love with it. But she stayed with it for the fans. @@vanessaburridge2779 Yes I heard him and paid attention to the video. But all that means is that he saw and felt her star quality and potential. He didn't want someone else to grab her up and if he saw her potential someone else definitely would've! I'm sure it was a term of endearment, but if Rih TRULY didn't want to she could've walked out. But like I said earlier Her becoming an artist was going to change not only her life but her family's. Idk if you understand poverty but that' a good chunk of it so of course she was going to go for it ! Especially after all that work she put in before she blew up! So no, I don't agree she was forced. She was talented and beautiful and had star presence and she WILLINGLY went into contract with them. So I don't agree she was forced! Now like i said, since you want to ask fascious questions, While she was under contract and recording albums and consistently putting a new one out every other year if not every She became burnt out and unhappy because of ALL the ugly things that comes with being in the industry. But because she has a loyal and loving, dedicated fan base she stuck it out and kept grinding pushing forward and working. I understand that money isn't everything I'm not slow sweety ! That's why Rih won't even deal with music right now or go near it because I feel she's traumatized from everything from 15 to Anti.

Many believe that success as an artist requires talent and luck. However, talent is abundant, and luck is often a decision made by the industry. The industry knows how to create stars and decides who will achieve stardom, not the artists themselves. Frequently, especially with young and attractive teenagers, the industry selects those who can be exploited in various ways, including through s3xv4l traff-ck-ng. They may choose teens who can serve as assets in the darker aspects of the business, involving blackmail and manipulation. Recent scandals have revealed this hidden world, contrasting sharply with the narrative of success that is presented to us. While talent and hard work are important, there are many other factors at play.

I'm sorry but the fact that two adult males were bringing a 15 year old girl from a poor island in Latin America to their apartment in New York is very disturbing. Latin America, specially the Caribbean islands, are a place of ongoing hvm4n traff1ck1ng for many decades, actually centuries, since the colonization made by the Spanish. *Also* Barbados is a major tax haven, which makes it all the more suspicious, as such places attract the wealthy and powerful, specially those associated with hot money and the wrong things in society, so to say. But then again, a fifteen year old girl living in a rich adult male apartment in New York is extremely disturbing just by itself.

How Jayz and someone else in the industry showed up at Chris brown the night and coaxed him to plea he was guilty. I'm glad her story ended up good and she got free from the industry hold. And sadly a lot of artist who you THINK are hitting every not perfectly are not. It is an industry standard to use pitch correction software on the mic. You can watch videos of people putting the audio of live performances through a program and watch the software force people’s voices up and down to hit PERFECT notes everytime. Which is kind of bland, it’s made live vocals lose their color. And I’m not saying these people can’t sing, it’s just they’re held to such a sharp and high standard they’d rather use live pitch correction and retain their bona fides than run with their natural voice. She could release an EP with no touring. But that's just the thing... She doesn't love music anymore. It's clear. Since her childhood, the music career was a JOB in which she was overworked, exploited, and abused. But she was strong enough to survive 7 albums of this insane schedule. The fact that she took 4 years to improve her skills and craft an amazing, perfect to detail, personal album that was truly HER creation really says something. Mind you: she didn't have to. The industry exploited her more than enough. Still, she took her time to create this farewell gift for the fans: Anti. Music was a job and a way to escape her hellish past, so now she probably doesn't even like it anymore. Can you blame her? I'm quite happy that she was able to become a billionaire and protect herself and her family, while still having large social impact. She could be a terrible person because of her upbringing and I would still understand it. Yet, she isn't. She's truly one of a kind in many ways. Her strength is almost surreal, tbh. She also seems to have learned A LOT from the people who exploited her and used that knowledge to become a billionaire that has a social concern that isn't performative. I don't enjoy most of her music, but her strenght makes me cry every time. A case like this is unheard of. She is, indeed, built different.

Yes, exactly! You grabbed the point in the last few minutes of your very great documentary. Nice job! That is why I like Rihanna, more than any industry star. She literally distanced herself from the pits of DOT DOT DOT before it would blow up into everybody's face! I am proud of her for doing that!

OMG!! She didn't move to LA on her own..she was scouted. Jay Z paid for her to go see him. Her Father sold her. Eminem saved her later by duets. Her biggest thing is Fenty.. she's in love now with a beautiful man who adores her. Eminem tried to save Justin Bieber too..never managed it 😭.

There are other singers who are successful but can't really sing, such as Madonna, Johnny Cash and Jennifer Lopez. J Lo has a lot of controversy around the allegations that most of her hits were sung by other artists.

She recorded material for the 9th album. Twice I believe. She's got 2 albums worth of material. At minimum there are probably 20 solid awesome finished tracks. She should just drop them as a free download and let us vibe. Don't even put it on streaming. Just drop a free download mixtape and let. Us. VIBE 😭😭😭😭

she was so inspiring, as a little girl, i thought, my voice sounded weird, but than, there came this singer with a voice that sounded almost like mine! she empowered me to express my love for music, although i was for most of the time not sure, if her art wasn't just reflecting the recent trend without any personality, because she chanched so much so many times! but as a adult woman, i think i can understand that evolution

When it comes to Rihanna's singing ability... I've always believed that there is a difference between a "skill," a "talent," and a "gift." Skills are acquired through long hours of training and honing. Talents are honed mainly through an intense passion for the craft, but carry a natural ability or affinity toward the craft. And gifts are those "God-given," phenomenal abilities that some people are seemingly "born with." These are combinable and interchangeable, but they aren't the same thing. Mariah Carey is a gifted and talented singer, who gained skill when her mother began training her at a young age. She's what we call a prodigy. Whereas Brittany Spears was talented, but I don't feel she has a gift for singing, and she gained enough skill to carry her career along with her OTHER talents, such as performing. You have to remember, she's a Disney product; her singing talents weren't even her original professional endeavor. Rihanna is a talented singer and a gifted musical artist. Her unique timbre combines with her understanding of her vocal range and presence, as well as her gifted stage presence. I mean, come on, she put out 3 chart-topping albums before receiving ANY vocal training. Combine that with her songwriting ability, and it's no great mystery (to me anyways) that she's the household name that she is today. She's no Adele, or Beyonce, or Cher, or Whitney, or even Mariah when it comes to the power of her voice. But successful careers in the music industry aren't reserved for the greatest singers on the planet. They're reserved for the artists who can sell the most records. Rihanna is one of the best.

Rhianna knew she achieved what she wanted in music after Anti. The reason why the world still listen to her even when she’s absent, speaks for itself. What no other artist can measure, is Rihanna has not partook in anything as of recent to promote her music that she released in the past… it keeps speaking for itself. The BadGalRiRi, the Island Princess of the world, will always and forever be loved. Until the world shatters… Rihanna will remain forever in past, present and future. To be her family, is to be happy. Navvy forever. 💜🎈⚓️💜

I looked up Rihanna’s age and she’s 36, a year younger than me, why did I think she was older?! Not because she looks older but because she’s experienced so much already, it’s actually mind blowing. I know she’s also been through a lot of pain and I really hope she’s happy. Exceptional life and amazing video!

awesome video!! just so you know @ 39:30 bebe rexha is albanian & in the albanian language xh is a letter that makes a sound like j in joint so it is pronounced more like rey-juh if that makes sense. just providing the knowledge if you wanted it lol bebe rexha, rita ora and dua lipa are all albanian. :) also not just rihanna but she has further success with song writing where her background vocals are left on the track and people dont know its her usually lol its crazy to me and i guess probably telling in general that what record labels call "artist development" does not include any vocal training the backing of lvmh in itself wouldn't have made fenty a stand out especially back then- there were a lot of beauty brands and collabs in general. i think the shade range busted in like the kool aid man and when people found that they genuinely liked the formula as well- fenty officially had filled a gap in the market and would continue to build off of that

Strange thing is, see I've been looking into Rihanna's life, essence and being. Rihanna is the last specie of her kind. The fact that music consumption has changed (stream vs hard copy), Rihanna was the last superstar to come from the hard copy era. Nowadays, critics overly criticise artists during their development. So being famous for music is highly more toxic than the 2000s. Everything you came up with in this documentary was looked into by us for the last 10 yrs. Rihanna is the most/one the most unique artist 💯 of ALL TIME. If you disagree now, simply look into her more and more until you start to realize how talented and different she is. Rihanna is PHENOMENAL !
