I think it's because traveler thought about what abyss twin said: "I already traveled through this world once, and once you reach the end of your journey as I did, you will see true nature of this world as I did" "we always had enough time". The twins will be reunited when traveler learns the truth of Teyvat. So I think traveler is focused on finding the truth instead of their twin.

Neuvillette does not recall ever meeting the sibling, but it can very much be assumed that they DID go to Fontaine based on their dialogue during the "We will be reunited" quest and the implied information we got during the "Caribert" quest about the Traveler and the sibling making similar choices. This COULD mean there is a twist as to why Neuvillette doesn't know the sibling despite having been around at the presumed time the sibling would have been there. Am I coping, a little. But it should be understood, by this point, that Hoyoverse is very deliberate in the information they give us, and that they are not afraid to completely subvert our expectations with ideas that go against everything we thought we knew.

To be fair, it's not like the sibling's been a known entity in any nation we've visited so far. We only see traces of their passage. Being a survivor of Kaenri'ah and traveling with Dainsleif, I imagine the last thing they'd want is to attract attention of the Archons or those working closely together with them.

I kind of feel like they're trying to describe the Primordial One i mean sovereigns are kind of different with Gods. I read somewhere that the Primordial One was the one responsible in making the humans in Teyvat so they were essentially the first God in a sense since the humans kind of owe their life to them. There is an interesting theory that Paimon could be the Primordial one but like got reverted to that small form. I always held that this conversation was the biggest reason why Neuvillette was the real hydro archon back when we didn't know about Focalors. Because that was the archon chat we always get at the very end of the archon quests, we just got it early. Obviously that turned out to be wrong, but I was doing somersaults in my head at the time.

​@raven2785 At the point when we get that chat with Neuvillette, the game was already dropping hints that he was actually the Hydro Dragon to the point that half the fanbase knew before 4.1 came out and the fact that he had no idea how the Oratrice operated and why it contradicted his judgement should be enough proof that he isn't the archon as much as Furina is. Not everyone immediately assumed Furina was a fraud. A lot of other people could tell she really did care for the people (it still baffles me how people are so shocked at how insecure Furina is about being forced to rule after the Cataclysm as if we didn't just come from Inazuma and Sumeru), but theorized her gnosis was in the Oratrice and she was just hamming it up so she could siphon Indemnitium into powering the city. Like, Indemnitium is literally a converted version of the power Archons get from being prayed to. So it was easy for people to think that she was powerless because what should have been her power was set aside instead.

Something i find really interesting that i never see anyone talk about is that apparently, not only are the gnoses apparently the remains of the third descender, but neuvillette's story on visions unlocked at friendship 6 reveals (for me at least. Idk if this was established before) that the usurper and the second descender worked together to create them as a way to "continue to subdue and control the resentments and loathing of the world."

Suppose the third descendant "died like a star" after committing sin and subsequent judgment, and then turned into a black hole. What if the Heavenly Principles is a dying god? one who started seeking other worlds to suck divinity out of other divine entities to keep going? like a star who just went boom and became a black hole as a last effort to stay alive. Cause if i'm not wrong there's a barrier that stops creatures from entering Teyvat... so either the Twins and the Narwhal were strong enough to break throught, or they were "invited". Have you ever encountered the lore about the Four Shades? You should check that one out. I recently came across it and one of Zhongli's deleted voice lines about Celestia where he states that he has not seen or been there for a while. As if he had come from there instead of Teyvat itself, or had been born there. "I have dwelt upon this world..." So as such, I am now a bit obsessed with the theory that he is a shade. And he has a brother held hostage in Celestia. His supposed "contract". That voice line was voiced by Keith by the way. In a quite fond fashion mind you. Very interesting.

I had an epiphany about the plot hole for Zhongli being a descender or not, the new quest shows that he's not but then is he remembering Rukkhadevata a plot hole? I don't think so because (I'M SPITBALLING HERE!!) --- rocks or pure gems/crystals has memories. Those with strong resonance with Geo can read memories from rocks so similar to how Nahida has the whole history of Teyvat in her hands, Zhongli has them too, it's just that Irminsul can tell the future too. This help answer how Zhongli was there to save Xiao in-time from the Chasm, a place known to have warped space and time but Zhongli can still see everything that happens there in real-time. NOW NOW NOW, this is only a theory that is dependent on whether Irminsul can impact the memories of rocks/gems/crystals because we know it can impact memories of all living things but are rocks living things? if not then this fixes this plot hole, if so then we still have a plot hole. Lol the rocks told Lorax about Rukkhadevata.

I am pretty sure zhongli is a descender, he's old as FUCK and he's been around for a long time. he COULD have something to do with the sun chariot or maybe not, but we do know he has been alive for more than 6000 years; his words "I have dwelt apon this world for more than 6000 years" Stone Tablet Compilations: Vol. I - "In the beginning, Rex Lapis descended. He lowered the tides, raised Mt. Tianheng, and calmed the waves." Transcription from a stone tablet - "...A god named Guizhong descended, whose dominion was over Dust, and whose reach shrouded the skies for thousands of miles around..." KEEP IN MIND that The gods have their ways of keeping memories safe from Irminsul, in case anything is erased. In Zhongli's story quest act 1, he says he needs to find a better way of keeping his memory from eroding, and that Traveler was not of this world, so they could keep memories safe for him (Foreshawding for Sumeru's Archon quest). In act 2, we learn that "Stone seeing" is an ability some people can have, just VERY VERY rare. Stone seeing is reading the memories of the stone, so Zhongli could have a very similar power/ability, keeping memories locked away in stones.

I will say, while I did not expect them to be the remains of a descender, exactly, I have wondered for a while if they were SOMEONE's remains. My 2 thoughts were the Primordial One or The traveler who fell in love withe the seelie. I mentioned it to my friend Blue, MOTHS ago, and she asked if she could put it in her own theory video (she is a lore theorist here on YT) and I said sure. For her it connected dots. In my case, the PO was only 1 possibility, though. With the other main choice being the Seelie's lover. I assumed the 3rd descender was Alice, and since she needed a body to give birth to Klee, I never thought about that possibility. Personally, I cannot make youtube videos, so I do it in fanfiction. So, when I came to the point where I had to mention my theory about it being body parts, I was VERY glad that Blue had added my thought about it into her video, because I could link to that as proof that I had that thought around the middle of the Sumeru patch releases. So, while saying it had not been thought by anyone is very likely true to the point that it was the body of the 3rd descender, I did think it was a segmented body. My reasoning for this was the fact that the Gnosis were seperated from each other and there had to be a reason. Likely the reason that the Tsaritsa has for collecting them all in one place. It's a similar trope I have seen elsewhere in fiction and even myths. Keep parts of a body seperate so that the creature it once was, cannot reform and retaliated. I also doubt that I am the only one who thought of that trope being a possibility here, though. So I am not trying to be big brained or brag. I just wanted to point out that I am likely not the only one who considered it the body of a god or something similar. It's just that a lot of theory/lore nerds can't make videos. And in my case, I also RARELY use twitter (not using the new name) or any other social media sites like it. In my opinion they are cesspools for stupidity, with most of us who have comon sense being drowned out by that wave of stupidity. Though, I am not insulting all those who use it. It's just my opinion on the platforms and why I don't use them. Trying to exist on them for me leads to mental & emotional exhaustion and depression flare ups. So I avoid most of them. And I am not the only one. My own theory is Lumine indeed the third descender. Knowing the first scene where the sustainer of heavenly principles turns her into a yellow cube thing. After doing that aether went sleepmode for who knows how long, it might be long enough that a samsara occurred in lumine(death and rebirth) and thus having her a record in irminsul and not making her a descender both by irminsul and fatui and the original remains of lumine were the gnosis.

Also, the Fatui's plan as a whole is morally dark gray, and I think most of the harbingers are morally gray too. Save for Dottore, Dottore is just evil lol. Blue is the colour of unaligned light and yellow/gold would be true light. Thing is, blue is the eyes of the khaenrians and gold is the colour of the sustainer, deshret/irmin and the traveller. Blue is the colour of withered seelies so the original aura of those servicing the crown of reason should be gold. Golden Fortuna. Yk how the Traveler has a golden aura? Yea we might be a seelie. But we were called back by a sovereign and the khaenrians and we can't be an angel if we were inspired by the the primordial demon Lucifer with demons serving us. However Lucifer was also seen as a snake in the Adam and Eve story which is basically the BP story in which Nibelung is most likely Lucifer with all the demons/gnosis wielders beneath him. So we're most likely the descendant of Nibelung/Lucifer. However take note Lucifer was too once an angel... Nibelung also had a goal, his endgame was also assimilation, similar to Narcizsenkreuz, similar to Deshret/King Irmin's Golden Slumber. Narcizsenkreuz really is just reverse parallels with Irmin/Odin and Nibelung/Lucifer (who was also portrayed as a 7 headed dragon get it cus 7 elements = light).
