Easily the most expensive plugin I've ever purchased and 100% worth every cent. This thing really is magic when it comes to taming harshness in your recordings or full mix. I've used it on guitars, percussion, and even on the master chain and couldn't be happier with it.

I'm definitely buying it cuz it's the only way I can make the overdriven guitars on my old mixes sound decent after recording them with too much gain and not having DI's.

House and Techno producer here, but I love me some metal...Bad ass song. Also, fantastic review. I was a bit on the fence about this plug, especially given the higher price point, but you answered all of my questions. Thanks man!

This is the best plugin I have ever bought. I would give up the UAD Neve 1073 plugin before I gave this up, and I track everything through that.

Thank you for making this video. I didn't find much out there on it, and this did a great example of it in a full mix session. Great tool. Added the demo now and I'm already quite impressed. I can see some real benefit in using this plugin for sample-based music where there is a lot of (intentional) distortion. Much appreciated man!

When I listened to the end you gave the answer to my question. I can use Soothe 2 at the Stereo Out (Mastertrack), yes, but one shouldn’t „overuse“ it, is that right. You say it helps to tame the high ends and low ends (if my English is good enough to hear it correctly).

Nice review, thanks. I think i need this plugin in my life. A while back i had the money to buy either soothe or the gullfoss plugin and i went with gullfoss and regretted it. it seems like both plugins do a similar thing?? However it looks like Soothe is simpler to use and more effective? Maybe? Going to give soothe a try. Thanks.
@natesamadhi33 Жыл бұрын
imo soothe 2 is definitely better than gullfoss
@o0o0natalia0o0o Жыл бұрын
From my experience Soothe is better for single tracks/mix and Gulfoss is better for master.

-- so would you put soothe before or after an eq like fabfilter proq3 and where did you put the plug in on the master bus ..last on the chan or first on the chain ? awesome song and awesome explanation ..black Friday 2021 $149

@@darotm7628 I personally put Soothe2 after my EQ and compression. I can do major editing and heavy lifting via the EQ and compression, and then add Soothe for final touches.

you literally do not need this if you simply cut the whistle frequencies out with multiple Eq's.... Of course, this guy will not tell you this bc he's making money if you buy it from his link.

Such a random ass comment 😂 obviously he’s not going to talk about ways to not use a plugin if the whole purpose of the video is to talk about what the plugin does.
