Question of the day: Who's your favourite Spider-Man artist of all time?
@SuperSwimTeam74 жыл бұрын
Mark Bagley and Humberto Ramos, I love the cartoony artstyle they both have, even if Ramos' anatomy can be... alien.
@fernandoluna65894 жыл бұрын
Probably Paolo Rivera
@ThePhenomenalBunch4 жыл бұрын
Either Steve Ditko or John Romita Sr.

That's a hard question, growing up with the Spiderman comics what I liked changed as I got older Steve Ditko,John Romita and Todd McFarlane are my all time favorites.
@theinitiative31394 жыл бұрын
Alex Saviuk, Sal Buscema, John Romita Jr are my favorites. But Ditko and Romita are the undeniable GOATS. And Ron Frenz and Mark Bagley are also pretty fantastic.

I love this video! Tom Defalco has said in interviews that he never called them spaghetti webbing, saying that's something Todd has attributed to him in his retellings when he needed an antagonist. As for my favourite artists for Spidey, aside from the two most prominent (Ditko and Romita Sr) I've always loved John Romita Jr, Mark Bagley, Ron Frenz and Pat Olliffe. Romita Jr was the first comic artist I learned then name of, having loved his art for it's distinctiveness- his best run for me was alongside JMS on Amazing. Mark Bagley has such great linework and his art was everywhere in the early 2000s. Ron Frenz is one half of one of the most iconic runs on ASM and has demonstrated an uncanny ability to present all era's of Spidey on the page and make them feel like they belong side by side. Pat Olliffe was the artist on both Untold Tales and Spider-Girl, two of my favourite Spidey comics. Pats art style evolved gradually over time and is probably one of the best around.

Todd is a genius in bringing that Golden idea to life. 6:22, not to mention the guy with the cape, Todd would bring out that idea as well.

His Spider-Man has always been THE spider-man. The Lee and Ditko era were iconic for their really dramatic stories and writing but man, the poses the new Spider-Man looked so cool, soooo spider like. I would spend hours infront of a mirror trying to get really low on the floor trying to copy the wall crawling pose.

Ditko will always be my guy (not just Spidey but also Dr. Strange and the Silver Age updating of Iron Man's armor) but damn did McFarlane's thwipping style and those awesome spaghetti webbings make it so much more awesome! And yes, Golden did do it first snd Art Adams too! I got to meet both Golden and Adams a few years back! Super cool guys!

Reading comments and noticing that not many people love Terry Dodson's version of the web slinger. I remember seeing the Millar Marvel Knights graphic novel, and I fell absolutely in love with Dodson's vision for Spider-Man and his foes, I know people aren't keen on the story, but the art is phenomenal.

Spaghetti webbing is for Spidey , basically what TMNT's four different bandana colours or Leo's X crossed Katanas are : Once it was created it's too good to pass up on ! (Tho the turtle teens were done in all-classic , all-red masks again, sometimes... Ok , why NOT ? ) But, seriously, the diagonal // swords are SO not working out apart from comic book panels... 2012 cgi nick-toon CHEATED when Leonardo drew his weapons, they'd have to be bendy to make for the same move as the X configuration 😉)

Toddy Mc - funk ❣️😂But that "linguini lines" are tough to reproduce in string, for action figure custom (the tangled , yet stretchy nature makes a figure dangling from it always turn this way and that... Best to coat the web line in epoxy or matte varnish). Cheers !

Hey, I'm a new subscriber and I would like to do a personal request. I watched your videos about the connected Tv animated shows and I was wondering if it was possible for you to talk about all the existent universes out there like for ex. MCU, the animated 90s series, 80s animated projects, the 60s Spider-man animated show,super hero squad, the old live actions(inclunding japanese Spiderman), the 2000s projects, FOX Xmen movies and shows, the Raimi and Amazing Spider-man franchise, Daredevil, Elektra, Hulk movies, Agents of shield etc. Yh pretty much every universe animated and live action projects and what movies and shows could be connected explained in 1 video. I would really appreciate it and I'm sure other people would as well. Please
