Ever since I started using only pending orders my trading turned around COMPLETELY for the better because of all the reasons you said. Great vid!

I've been doing this for last month or so. Yes I miss some trades, but the rewards are substantially better. Thanks for the video!! Best

I use pending orders a lot of the time. Some get triggered and others don't and a few hit SL

Everytime i'm not patient I end up losing money. Although I'm getting better at dealing with the losses and wins now, Gotta remind myself to trade like a sniper. Crazy part about it too is ill know it's a bad idea and still do it. I heard on an Interview somewhere we are literally hard wired to lose money so its best to do the opposite of what the majority of people are doing. When I try to think outside of the box this is when I make my best trades, when I go with the obvious route it's always the wrong one. Buy the panic Sell the break out

The reason the trade goes against you is cause the algo is inducing the move since you are now in and they're going to take the other side. I guarantee you will miss more trades especially in a fast market using a limit order. Also the limit orders allows your liquidity provider to hedge the position, if you use a market order the algo will fight tooth and nail to stop you out.

You know what's funny is that I started off trading with only limit orders, and I didn't even know what stop losses were back then. I still managed to get a fair amount of returns. But after learning to trade, I do a lot of market orders and stop losses, hardly used limit orders to start a trade. I don't know why. I've just took a few steps back to how I used to trade and applying everything else I learned to this. So far so good!

Excellent advice thanks. I’m too prone to wanting to be in a stock because i see a strong trend only for it to fall away a few days and give me a hairy ride so patience is now my bedrock!

Mark, I am a huge fan of your psychology videos and watched the entire playlist over the last 6 months. One topic I would find interesting regarding discipline and the ability to keep the chimp in his cage is whether using some sort of biofeedback device that measures heartrate or other physiological indicators is helpful in the awareness and prevention department. Once the chimp is loose, he could care less about the rules.

Mark, how about spreading orders across probability range and accumulate? This will ensure at least some orders are filled. Do you see any issues in this approach? This has worked for me when exact entry price is difficult to determine.

So in summary, set your limit buy to just under the wick of a previous low candle, then set a stop loss at a range under the wick of that previous low? Also why would you not set your limit buy in the wick of the previous low, rather than under it? Wouldn't that be a safer bet?

That's an old video. Shopify did not return to the bottom of the range and had a fake-out (which I took 😏), at least so far. The presented technique is valid, however. Used it on Bitcoin a couple of times.

Almost didn't click on this video.. that's how much I hate to talk about limit orders. My biggest weakness. Watching this video is that 1 min cold shower.. need to face it!

Hello, trying to understand the difference between limit all or none, vs limit partial. I plan on doing this so the order is good only through the rest of the business day. Wondering how does this work in regards to commissions charged? E.g. does one scenario vs the other lead to more commissions being charged? For instance if the order has to be fulfilled by multiple orders, do you get charged commission multiple times in either scenario?

I got scammed last night of $1000 in xrp. Took it on the chin. My own fault. This morning is another day and I bought more but accidentally forgot to put it to market so I found this video just as I was worried I messed things up again but maybe it was a good idea now?
