Yes! I am very fond of piracy with EA, but with CC creators i can't. It's not only that most of the time it's one person doing a better job than a multimillionare company, it's also that most of them make things for the sake of doing them. Also, what's wrong with the textures on this kit? Is it me or does it look too clay-ish? Like yeah, usually sims stuff is clayish, but this kit, what's with it? I find it weird that the goth family had gotten quite a lot of attention in this kits from EA. Like the Goth Galore has Cassandra in the art cover The Castle Estate has Bella and Mortimer in the promotional pictures. The Storybook Nursery kit it's literally a Goth family dlc. And now with this latest kit is just more stuff but mostly all of it it's designed for "Bella" only. That's how I see it anyway and I can only say that they Goth's were one of the few families that had a Makeover from EA and now recently their entire house has changed from the ground up.

It’s because they are the most iconic family in the game, they matched the EP theme and cuz this is the anniversary year. Don & Bella (along with Calientes) have some of the most well known lore in the game.

I like the goth kit a little better, but i felt like if they were going to make a paired down kit we don't get any filler items. And with don's pants looking so similar and the standing mirror looking a lot like other standing mirrors I just feel like they're skipping to reel us in for more packs. Which just exhausts me.

I think EA figured out that they couldnt sell us gameplay objects in a stuffpack tied to an expansion after the dumpster fire that was my first pet stuff. So instead they put all the gameplay items into the bigger packs and take out the cosmetic items in order to avoid backlash for that again. Its still the same, predatory microtransaction scheme. But because its "just cas" or "just build buy" we dont get as mad when clearly theyre still leaving out content that should have been included in these $40 expansion packs. I think it's also a side effect of shrinkflation.

I've heard the two kits begin called the Bella Goth kit and Don Lothario kit. It's probably dark and gothic because it's a Bella kit. The other one probably vibes with Lovestruck since that fits Don Lothario. (This is the first video I've seen looking at either of the kits to know what's in them)

I have a theory: The EA team will be all working on items (both build\buy and CAS) with a deadline. If some of the team can't get what they are working on done in time, they just toss it in a kit once it is done.

If it's not a Life and Death leftovers kit, the other explanation could be that they wanted a "look, guys, we do have lore, honest" pack and it got split across two kits. This one is the Bella Goth kit, and the Casanova one is the Don Lothario kit. The alien abduction pictures in both are the (quote unquote) lore references.

The theme is Bella Goth. It feels similar to Life & Death b/c the Goths have a gothic vibe. The 2 kits are a call back to Bella & Don’s lore in Sims 2. And are prep for the feb event with the milk cartons and stuff Simsie’s kit a references to their lore also.

It definitely feels like a bridge between Life and Death and Get Famous, but also a lot of the older "classy" romance stuff packs. I hate that it's extra money, but I can definitely see it working as a more "toned down" and/or elegant way to build a wealthy but not outrageous style mansion. The excessive everything from the high end Get Famous stuff feels out of place in a lot of builds and the idea of a high end computer on a gothic style desk also doesn't fit right with me. I hate to say it, but there is a LOT of potential with this content to make a really good secret agent style build with this stuff. Think James Bond classy and this definitely checks the boxes.

A $10 old school Stuff Pack with a complete CAS and Build/Buy “set” would have made more sense than a Kit in this case… But the Life and Death leftovers “My First Life and Death” is actually pretty spot on, so people would still be pissed about having to spend an extra $10 instead of $5 for extra DLC.

All kits appear to be items that have been kept back from other packs and then presented together as kits. I would have liked to have seen 25+ BB items and some bonus CAS. Lilsimsie’s kit has no competition this month, lucky her!

ive bought only a small handful of kits--all build mode, all while i was abroad so it very slightly was cheaper. genuinely if they made them £3.99 instead of 4.99 and/or had a couple more items each, i would buy almost all of the build ones. i just miss stuff packs. it's ridiculous they're not making more of them considering just how good the last 3 have been. the other massive problem with kits is that most of them are "leftovers" like you pointed out here with life and death. most kits feel like they should be merged with a pack or another kit--same goes for the older stuff packs. i think if you purchase, say, the parenthood game pack, you should at least get a discount for toddler stuff, kids room, my first fits. country kitchen should've gone with cottage living. get together should give you a discount for bowling and movie night. seasons and eco lifestyle should give you one for blooming rooms and greenhouse. poolside splash shouldve been in for rent. the list goes on!!!
