Dave that looks delicious there's so many ways to make sloppy joes one of my favorite cheats is to take leftover thick meat spaghetti sauce and add some barbecue sauce to taste and just serve it up on a Toasted Bun... I had a friend once who made sloppy joes and she added a can of vegetable soup and I thought it was strange but it tasted so good I couldn't believe what I was eating😇✌️🌻 PS happy New Year everybody

You are so right my friend. So many ways and so many cheats. If you can call it cheating. Interesting ideas here. These sloppy joes were so good, however.

Dave my friend, very nice recipe, looks delicious & yes on us & the girls, we like to put those semi-sweet long cut bread & butter pickles( try them if you haven't, our fave) on ours but we will try this recipe of Joe also with those pickles, keep your stick on the ice, btw, recovering but is a slow process
@TheCooknShare Жыл бұрын
Hey Steve. How nice to see you commenting again. When are you coming back to the lodge? Hope you're feeling better. Ah yes, the bread and butter pickle. How could I forget that? Keep up the healing and stay safe, Steve.
@stevelogan5475 Жыл бұрын
@@TheCooknShare thank you Dave, you don't have to use the pickles but we like them on the Joe's, I post when I am having a good day, but always watch, still have days of pain, recovering though pal, be back at the lodge soon, I hope

Its amazing how simple this recipe can be. Easy available ingredients. I have everything except BBQ sauce? Is there a substitute?
@TheCooknShare Жыл бұрын
Hi Priscilla. Sometimes the simple is the best. If you can get bbq sauce, it really makes a difference. You could do your own with some more ketchup, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, sugar, etc. The hickory just adds that flavour that is so good. Hope you try them and enjoy.
@Chewy41915 Жыл бұрын
Yes, definitely consider making your own bbq sauce- you probably have the ingredients to make it! This is an easy one I use: 1/4 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar 1/2 - 3/4 cup ketchup 1 tsp smoked (or regular) paprika 1/2 tsp cumin 1/4 tsp table salt 1/4 tsp liquid smoke (optional) Of course, you can adjust the amounts according to your preference 😊
