I went with a friend to see Linkin Park in Ft. Worth right before their second album came out. We had no idea that Cypress Hill was opening for them, and totally acted like girls at a Beatles concert when they came out. B Real had I'd say a six foot bong that he took a hit from on stage which was hilarious and quite impressive all at once. Besides the bass blaring to where it was hard to hear the rapping, it was an excellent show.
@andrewmendoza33505 жыл бұрын
I was at that show. I believe it was February of 2002 at the convention center downtown. Do you remember Chester momentarily stopping the show because someone threw a firecracker in the pit?
@bewareofwil5 жыл бұрын
@@andrewmendoza3350 Holy crap! Yes, at the Roy Rogers Convention Center. I was on the floor when that happened and it popped about six feet away from me. That firecracker had like a hair clamp or something wrapped around it to give it weight. When it went off, it hit a girl and burned her forearm pretty good from what I remember. They were playing and all I see is this sparkly thing way above my head and thought that pyro was gonna go off, and it did, right next to us. I honestly thought they were gonna walk off stage, but to my delight, when Chester said, "Who fucking did that?", about 8,000 fingers pointed to a scrawny 90lb. wearing boots little shit. He had the spotlight on him just long enough for the Ft. Worth PD to snatch him up real quick. We still laugh about it to this day. I can't believe I found someone outside my friend who saw that as well. Totally amazing.

I know they won't see this but I wonder if they remember. It was in Nashville, TN. He brings up an important point. I've seen a lot of rappers live and I've often been disappointed because many of them yelled madly into the microphone instead of rapping in their usual voice. It just doesn't sound like what you're used to from the recordings and destroys the live experience. The microphone and the PA are responsible for the amplification, you don't have to shout. A lot more rappers should be educated on this.

Bananas! I always suspected the Rammellzee connection cause he even talks about "Cypress Hill" in Beat Bop. Dope how they kind of melded that in with their steeze.

The four elements of hip hop: DJing, MCing, break dancing, and graffiti. If anyone checks out Rammellzee, they'll find there are other elements that only he has discovered. That dude is out there on the artistic pioneer front.

We used to always make fun of Senn Dogs style as kids. He always sounded constipated to us. “When the shit goes down, you better be ready” “WHEN THE SHIT GOES DOWN, ERRRRrrrrr (plunk)”
