You should try coffee, or nicotine (i.e. nicorette if you're not cool with cigs), weight-training, and mental discipline and rewarding yourself when you can focus for some time...these things really helped me and I'm on the verge of finishing up my first novel. 107K words, hopefully will be a best-seller, I think it has what it takes. Don't just give up, try to work on how to improve that focus.

@@kayolayton5384 I was mid 30s with kids studying abnormal psych as a minor in college ... undiagnosed. It's almost like having sensory regulatory disorders. You have too many things going on in your head... Like doorways ... you can't heard cats with 5 of 9 doors randomly opening on the house. People don't understand that dealing with this unmediated is tricky. Gotta limit electronic stimulation and eat correctly or it flairs up more Sweets starch alcohol etc. Make it happen more often Adderall was okay for a while to help me focus but it wore off too quickly. Meds are not the key. Set up your life more and leave less to chance. The fact is that planning and rewarding yourself work better than being distracted in the middle of a job Good luck.

I forget. I was trying to catch up with Muggs to drop him this mix i made. It was my demo to join The Soul Assassins DJ Crew. I had it on me just in case I saw him. I never did. Long story short, saw him chillin outside the greenroom area. We talked he dapped me up blah blah blah. I told him that I need to get the mix to Muggs & he agreed to pass it on. I leave to get back to work, as I hit the corner I see him toss my cd in the trash. Stopped fuckin with them after that. My whole desire to be affiliated with anyone in that circle was killed. He had no obligation to do anything for me. But don’t get a kids hopes up, & lie to his face like that. Just say no. Fuckin crushed me. Never meet your heroes, or those in the vicinity.
