This is crazy, some time ago, while I was sitting at home my 7 y.o. son looked at my hands and said "daddy your hands look like you're happy". That made no sense to me, it was so confusing it made me lough and said thank you. After watching this video today it reminded me when he said that and it now makes sense. I had no idea your hands can express how you are inside, we're not Jewish but the Rabbis have so much insight. Thank you for sharing knowledge wisely.

Intelligence moves downwards to emotions, that‘s why the brain is on the highest point of our body. So if you need to check your feelings about hate and love you have to use your intelligence, your brain. Brain controls your heart in this case.

I always wondered the deeper meaning of the morning hand washing ritual. How I hear you explaining it is that it is a daily practice for being mindful of letting go of unhelpful or excessive emotion and a way of waking up insensitivity. How beautiful and useful. Deep appreciate the explanation Rabbi. 🙏

I fully resonate with this teaching, its exactly as I feel the correlation between mind & heart but I would add something which wasn't mentioned, thus the correction process of the mind over the emotions flows also from opposite direction. The heart can regulate the mind in exact same way. Not the mind nor heart can be proclaimed superlative to its counterpart, they have been designed to work in perfect symbiosis only under precise balance. If we use the example of Helen of Troy, you said how much evil has been done in name of Love but we can see that the emotion can be the main driving engine over the rational of the mind & doing so still in the boundaries of utmost righteousness. Opening a massive war because of seemingly personal relations can be seen as wrong but dwelling deeper into the minutes of the problem we can also say that all evil emerges from individual perspective, hence its transformed to the collective trough this root. Promoting a woman's free will of decision or any men's is always worthy of fight because free will is the basis of freedom and without it we are not free & for a true man its better to die free for this cause then to live like a slave. Shalom 🙏

You’re right Rabbi, and I’m glad you put meaning behind such actions. Otherwise, it carries no weight. Your words came to me at the right moment. Thank you a million! Also your advice can and should be used concerning the Covid jab. It’s too new to trust it and most people who took it did so because of fear mongering or told they would lose their job.

A truly matured message. I hope to apply and come to the realization that throwing 2 cents at any which way the wind blows just creates resentment in all directions, but still if I see a comment platform I end up here thinking too much and creating useless ego, but if there's a chance I can give assistance, I can grantee you it's no matter of pride, for it's known and each are heavenly father's on earth nothing more then his child, ego of course for I am a product of God for that matter alone there is no possibility of inflation so I truly urge only for assistance to others for when it's realized that we have they opportunity to be like our father in heaven in every moment that's a fulfillment I do want.

Every individual based on environment will need different skillsets. Disciplining the mind to act logically on solvable challenges, learn skillsets to progressively resolve relatively unsolvable ones and to endure and avoid unsolvable . Hello rabbi Friedman, I always enjoy your lectures and I always watch them on KZbin regarding washing your hand when you wake up in the morning this might be a silly question but I've been wanting to ask when is the best time when you wake up in the morning to wash ( netilat)my hand I wake up twice around 4:00 a.m. I have to use the restroom should I wait until 7:00 a.m. to say netilat? Or anyone can read this if they could please answer my question thank you in advance
