Great video as always! Did you get the moss poles off Amazon by chance?

I’ve done this on several plants…it works. I got the idea from Sidney Plant Guy; he named it “Chop & extend.” Thanks for sharing!

So technically just cover a nod with the propagation ball then chop after it rooted? I have a philondendron that my mother gifted me a few years ago and I'm nervous to do this and end up killing it but its almost up to my ceiling now.

It is a fairly well kept secret. In fact, most ‘plant aficionados’ gloss right past their secret of LARGE leaves. WHY? To what avail? 😊

Ah gosh, this is exactly what I was looking for. Funnily enough, same plant too. Shame I didn't think to look before my third pole extension though lol. I couldn't understand how I kept seeing 3-4 ft tall plants sized waay up already, while mines just now sizing up at 5-6 ft. Well, looks like I'll have 3-4 splendid soon lmao. (I need more room!!! Help. 😅)

Hey, quick question. I use dyna gro foliage pro in my hydro drip sytem to water a bunch of coco chunk poles that have philodendron geowing on them. Ive never flushed my poles. Do you know if the fertilzer builds up over time in the poles? Ive used over 3 gallons of concentrate over the last 5 months. Everything seems good though
@prettyingreen Жыл бұрын
Great question. With concentrated synthetic fert like Dyna Gro, you definitely want to flush every 1-2 months, but to be honest, I don’t do it as much as I should, and it’s always fine… until the day it isn’t. So yeah, I’d do when you 😃 Maybe every 4th water, just use 10% strength fert and water. Using a little fert actually helps clean the media better

So where exactly should you cut the stem? 😢. I did not catch it. Sorry and thank you for the video.

Yup!! It’ll work great to trap the humidity!

@@prettyingreen ty I was worried cuz of the color and light needing to get in but I guess it's trapping humidity that's it's main job lol
