The way I was taught to brew it 1 gallon pitcher of 1/2 full of filtered boiling hot water add 15 Lipton teabag & 1/4 tsp baking soda. Steep 45 mins. Add 2 cups sugar. stir to melt/mix sugar. Add filtered cold water to gallon line. Chill.

What’s the baking soda do? I put a few grains of sea salt in my coffee it takes the bitter away, and makes the coffee smoother. I didn’t believe it until I tried it. Only use like 7-10 grains of salt per cup.

@@paulredinger5830 I heard baking soda keeps your tea from being cloudy.

How wonderful it is that you’re willing to sacrifice your life and health for us. We love you to Ralph. I never thought brewing tea with a coffee pot. I’ve been making sun tea for ages it’s almost always sunny here especially in our summer. I have a question for you. Instead of putting the sugar in the coffee pot couldn’t you just put it in the gallon jug, or would it affect the flavor of the tea? You look good brother. Forty pounds is a lot. Great video. 👍

@paulredinger5830 Hi Paul. Putting the sugar in the pitcher instead of the coffee pot should work too, but it might be easier to stir while it's still in something more shallow. Thanks for the compliment on weight loss. I wish it were more. It seems to be bouncing back and forth, and I wish I was seeing more consistent progress.
