Will, The problem you have at first is caused by the automatic camera setting "Type: Two-Node Camera". To fix all of that, Double click on the camera, at the top left, Type, one-node camera, However, The null object controller is the classic quick fix.

I Would also suggest to "separate dimensions" for the position property, thus get more control over your camera, however, It's quite a mess to Control X,Y,Z separately, but you'll get used to it soon like every thing in life.

Yo, what's up Will? So, I'm not pretty sure, but I used to have that problem when I was starting with AE, I think the problem its on the type of keyframes. You have to change the "Spatial Interpolation" option on the the keyframes. Maybe thats why when you use more than 2 key frames, it makes that kind of curve between keyframes. First step is crazy. You could just use pen tool click alt on one of those points and click on one of those points dude. The handle will go away. This isn't just a camera position problem. This is position problem in all object in ae. Go try it in a simple shape. In short. Video doesn't deliver. You should change the Title. Was expecting to see some tips on how to master camera movement. Sorry for my outrage. The video title is just too misleading. But your tip in 1/4 end of the video is indeed a good tip
