Tell me this. Can you do a mivec control to create a pseudo larger cam profile by holding the cam with the valve position open longer?

It sounds like you have a poor understanding of how sync offset works. It doesn't change how long the valve opens, it changes the moment at which it opens. The effect of increasing VE is related to the piston speed. In the middle of the suction cycle it is higher. The larger cam has a longer opening time and higher lift.
