Watching replay. My takeaway: Embrace resistance, listen to resistance. Find the reason why you are resisting, unite and align its values with your conscious mind. Don't ask it why? Ask "What is important to you?" "What is your positive intention for me?" Be aware of what you don't want. Focus on what you want.

Replay 💛 I am learning my resistance is teaching me to stop and play. I am safe and no longer need to be saving people. I am to enjoy the abundance I manifested and hold space for people to be on their journey of choice. The resistance has been coming from a misleading thought that I need to learn more and more on how to save people. I realise now, by being aligned to my self love and making time to play in the present this actually can help others as they feel the energy of love emitted and may becime aware, making time to play is what we are meant to do.

Watching it on Replay: Lessons: When we ignore our resistance, it pushes it into our subconsciousness. Anything in our subconsciousness has more power over us than the things we have in our consciousness. We can't change what we are unaware of. We allow past negative feelings from the past hold us back from growing/moving forward and that causes resistance internally. We create more of what we try to avoid (so true). Becoming/feeling whole seems to be the ultimate goal.
@Christopherbever Жыл бұрын
My takeaway: my resistance to doing the REAL work on myself had been not taking the effort of actually writing and taking notes on what I’m consuming in content, instead of just putting it on as a background feel good practice. So I went back to the first video of this series and re-watched it, taking detailed notes, writing quick reflections throughout, and then I am repeating this for all the videos. I think my resistance to putting in the effort of writing, digesting, and reflecting on my inner work has been stemming from a part of me that is afraid to put my true feelings down on paper and bring them to life in the physical world. This Troubles the part of me because it means admitting to my bad feelings and negative emotions instead of pushing them down and being the Joy for everyone around me in my personal life. Even as I type this, I can feel some reconnection with the part of me from simply being vulnerable to strangers in a comment section. I had heard of Parts work a little before the vid, but your interpretation really made it click for me.

Don’t fight your resistance instead talk to it, find out what is trying to do, identify which of your values it is trying to fulfill, clarify the common value that you and your resistance are trying to fulfill, and recruit it to work with you towards fulfilling the goal that align to the common values that you and your resistance are trying to fulfill. Once you and your “resistance” are working aligned with a common value, the “resistance” will on longer produce a resistance, it will become an ally.

Yeah my resistance comes from thinking that if i get something, I might lose something else. Many people say they look up to me and yet i can't receive that gracefully as i feel a great resistance (like an imposter!). Thanks for this reminder... the next time, I will invite my resistance to stay with me and still go for it! As not taking up challenges is making me feel worse anyways. So I will tell the resistance, "Lets just to go for it and have fun!".

I’ve learned not to over exhaust myself on the inner “hunt” of finding every resistance. Integration of the unconscious resistance by finding what’s its purpose and try to find out what’s its positive its trying to do for me. Mine was an immediate overall feeling telling me “I’m trying to make you comfortable” inside it felt like yeah okay that not the worst thing but my intuition knows I don’t progress in comfort.. so my take away is I’m not trying to hurt myself with my successes I’m simply wanting to seek comfort aka lack of growth when i should be focused on just the opposite. Ill watch this again to see what i find out when I’m not stoned
@DamonCart Жыл бұрын
You need a certain amount of comfort to progress, so part of you will try to preserve that comfort. As long as you can assure it that you will maintain a certain level of comfort as you challenge yourself to grow and progress, you will have no limits.

@@DamonCartwow i didn’t know that. I’ve been a remedial therapist for the last 25 years and love working with the mind too. Peoples bodys don’t heal when their brain circuits are off due to stress or trauma. I also studied kinesiology and psych k. Did the journey work with Brandon bays. Through my own experience I’ve learnt how to very quickly switch a persons electrical circuits back on clear the deeper trauma so that the body skeletal alignment and fascia and all other tissues can actually work correctly and hold the new alignment and changes. So using IFS and psych k it works. I’m now studying meta NLP life coaching here in Australia.

Damon I had to come back and update you!!! I asked the question. What is your positive intention for me? Got the answer later that night. Mind you I spent a couple of days listening to the video to get clear on the approach. My answer...You never want to be wrong or blamed for someone else's wrong. You avoid responsibility and accountability for others so you never feel like you are at fault for anything.🤯 I immediately knew when things flipped. I thanked resistance and we are on the same team. Thanks my brother. Best advice and instructions I have ever received! I dare you to do it 😏
@DamonCart Жыл бұрын
Sounds great. Make sure to ask that part what would you rather be instead of wrong or blamed for someone else's wrong. What would you rather be than at fault? You need to get the resistance stated in the positive so that you have a value or desired state to move torward instead of only focusing on moving away from what you don't want.

Replay and my take away is that resistance is my friend and I just need to be kind and accepting so that we can work together on a common goal. I was trying the swish method and I was picturing my perfect self and it was very vague, and I couldn't get her to be very bright or big and the more I try to imagine my perfect self the harder and less formed she is, I can't even get an image of my perfect self at all. Something is stopping me from even imagining my ideal self. I haven't studied NLP much at all, I just learned about values elicitation and then I was trying to find ways to integrate the values so I haven't learned anything about language. But as I was typing this I noticed that when I change the word from perfect self to ideal self, I have less resistance to my ideal self than I do to perfect self. I still think there is resistance there though.
@DamonCart Жыл бұрын
Framing it as your perfect self might be the problem. Perfection is usually destructive because it's an impossible standard that you will always fall short of so it tends to make us feel bad when we compare ourselves to a perfect self. Frame it as your ideal self, as in the you who is living your ideals and your values.

20:29 don’t ignore it, accept it. I value you, you’re a part of me and you’re valid. What do you want to do for me? What is your positive intention for me when we procrastinate?? (To make sure you’re 100% ready before you use your voice - we want to be ready to limit negative feedback even if it means not shipping - my intention is to protect you from shame, I want you to thrive. But also, work is dreary I want to make sure you get to have fun too bc after you finish this and thrive you’ll only work and always be hustling) Cool, I want to thrive too and I also do not want to be ridiculed to shame. I also want to have fun too. What would it mean if I thrive but also work with joy and ease? (It means you’ll achieve this big goal we set out for - you’ll feel so accomplished and content and believe in yourself, and work will feel less onerous!!) Our values are the same! Ease, joy, contentment, calm confidence. Do you want a job in what I’m doing to make sure I finish this, thrive, be content and confident? Can you make sure I stay on track but not procrastinate? Can we work steadily but with ease and joy? We can do multiple edits… we can ask for help… but let’s not procrastinate. Can you help me finish? Do the things, time / money expenditure, eat, enjoy, live in ways that help me finish? (Sigh. Yes, I’ll signal a big discomfort when you’re off track and you’re becoming too boring and pedantic and all work no play - if the ease, joy, flow disappears, fear and resistance will creep in bc we want to enjoy life too! Please don’t bore us to death with insane schedules and burn out.) Wow. Just wow.

Hello Mr. Damon! Thank you for these wonderful videos! I watched the first video last week. The first video was about that we need to clarify what we really want to do in our life and pre-test it in reality. I always wanted to have my own dance studio since I had finished musical school to choreographer. After watching the first video I decided to realize my idea (I do not want to wait anymore that someone will help to live my life, I want do smth that will change and help me to grow and build my build my dream in real) I want to pre-test it. So I found the place where I can do it, I did agreement with the owner and also I prepared the program what kind of dance I want to teach them. I also did little kind of promotion and invited people. So tomorrow I going to do this pre-test, I will see how people will react and how many people will come. I am very worried and have stress but I also feel that I am doing smth very important and very interesting for me. I just want share my feelings because your videos are helped my do not stop. Thank you very much for doing these videos!

You're very welcome. Sounds great! You're moving closer to your dream. Learn how to manage the stress. This doesn't have to be stressful. Think of it as an exploration, an adventure. If this try doesn't work, it doesn't say anything bad about you. It just means that what you tried didn't work so try something else. Don't attach your self-worth to it.

Hi Damon do you have a video for overcoming addiction?? Thanks really looking forward to next weekend
@DamonCart Жыл бұрын
I don't, but in general, addiction can be treated as a parts integration, which I have done videos about. The addiction is driven by a positive intention you're trying to fulfill. Once you know what that intention is, you can explore healthy strategies and behaviors to fulfill that intention other than the addiction.
