I thank God for our American black sistahs who revolutionized hair styling for us African women. I'm Nigerian & culturally we braid & plait our hair.. I definitely remember us not being unable to rock these types of hairstyles cuz we didn't know what we were doing. Truth be told . .. "it's a black thang". Thank God for social media & countless black stylists who didn't hold back on helping us out w/ their techniques. Now we're flat & rope twisting with the best of them. My hair never stays in twist. Doesn’t matter what products I use. It unravels.

It is all in how you twist. Try rope twisting and also the size

It's too poofy/puffy at the roots. You need to braid only at the roots to make it more secure then twist the rest.....
