I was just out filming a waterfall today in Snowdonia and used a slow shutter speed to get some water blur. At 25fps and with the water flowing quickly, a shutter speed of 1/10s worked great 🙂

love the effect and explanation! been able to do it myself now only thing is when posting to for example Instagram, the slow shutter speed effect looks pixelated compared to the rest of my sequence. on my phone and computer looks buttery smooth. any advice on exporting settings to go about this issue ?

Question. If you low your shutterspeed then how about the fps? What would you choose

I will generally keep it in 24fps. Unlikely that you will slow down a low shutter clip so no ned for high fps :)

How to set the ss in nikon mirrorless camera? I have a nikon z50 and it's shutter doesn't go below 1/25 for videos.

Some cameras unfortunately only go down to something like 25 for video. But you should still be able to get some nice motion with that! Good luck
