I do love how Marco teaches........makes everything very clear but leaves open the door for options in scales or changes/substitutions. Beautiful solo! I'm curious with so many different scales in one song, how do I know what key this song is in? Also sometimes I've seen tutorials talking about modes, are the different scales in each bar different "modes" of the same key?

Nice as usual. Want to share a personal observation. I think it would be confusing to use different scale names whilst the root (home) note is still C, unless a key change is implied. I would prefer to say, C major scale, C major scale +G# note, C major scale + G# note, and C Mixolydian scale - Bb, respectively. Of course, since guitarists are often pattern oriented, the shapes can be remembered by the names you mentioned, if that works better while improvising.

The E Phrygian should be Phrygian Dominant.. since it has a major 3rd. E Phrygian would suggest minor over the E7
