I did a colour analysis course many years ago and remember the teacher saying there were 4 universal colours: coral, turquoise, periwinkle and soft white! Coral is pretty close to watermelon!

I look yellow as the sun in turquoise... I love it, but avoid it like the plague vectors of that. So, it's not universal.

Since you said you knew we would tell you in the comments, here it is - the word you were looking for was "versatility". 😁 I'm so grateful for this channel. My colours have changed recently (with aging, they've gone softer). Also, I 'm almost exactly between warm and cool - with some colours, the warmer shades look better on me, with others - the cooler ones. So universal colours it is for me, then, at least for the time being. Teal is a new favourite. And I need to investigate this watermelon and see what I can find in the shops. So thank you for everything.

I have two tee-shirts and a light sweater for summer in watermelon and I before your videos I was wondering why watermelon fits me so well because I was thinking it was on the warm side. I'm glad I followed my gut because I saw in the mirror it fits me. Great idea for the make-up💄

Those shirts look slightly different colors and it isn't your hair,eyes,and skin tone colors that are making it appear that way because I blocked that out and just looked at the shirts. Lucinda's looks cooler, and less saturated, or like there is more blue, and/or gray in her shirt, where as Sarah's has a warmer more peachy look to it, and is just more vibrant or saturated looking. I thought it was just the shirts that where a slightly different color, but I am now noticing that it isn't just the shirts, the wall behind is more grey on Lucinda's side, and more yellow on Sarah's side. Is that the result of lighting or the camera, or something on your end, and was it done intentionally to make the shirts appear more equally harmonious on the both of you, or could it be my monitor? Or is it my eyes or my imagination, please tell me you see it also.🧐😅

I finally found a brick red shirt. I love it! It doesn't look bad on me at all. It's not the best color that I could wear but it's the best red that I could wear. I've never seen a watermelon shade in anything at any store. I will keep my eyes open for it though....but I don't know If I can pull off the watermelon shirt that you both have on . I hate any kind of light colors on me other than Ivory, they wash me out so bad. I've been on this Carnivore diet for almost a year now and my eyes, skin and hair are still changing colors. I seem to be getting more pigment in all three. I swear, from day to day I don't know what color I'm going to be when I look in the mirror. It's so hard to know what to wear. I know that Ivory is a winner for me, and anything warm, medium and soft looks good. But I can wear beautifully the Soft Autumn yellowish-grayish greens. My doctor lowered my thyroid dose too much, rather than gradually reducing it, and so much of my hair is falling out that I have to wear a beanie to keep my head warm. So now I'm collecting beanies, and learning what colors to replace my hair with that look good on my face. It's a challenge. So far I like Heathered Oatmeal, Ivory, and my husband bought me a hat that is a blend of mustard yellow and camel. It looks pretty good on me too. I did crochet a yellowish green beanie but it reminds me of a green that would better suit a spring because it's a little brighter than I like, But it's not the end of the world when i wear it. It's not ideal for me, but it's not the worst either. TY ladies for the great color chat. I will look into a water melon lipstick and blouse.

There is no such thing as a color that suits everyone! There are so many components involved. Some colors may suit many people, but definitely not everyone!

I’ve always loved universal colors like watermelons, teals, and purples. I wonder if it’s because I tend towards the middle of all three color characteristics. I’m light-medium, neutral leaning cool, and somewhere in between soft and bright. I honestly can’t label myself with a dominant characteristic.

I really have to disagree. I LOVE it on me but I went to a wedding and a lady was wearing a suit of this colour. She had matching lip colour but it made her look like a clown 😵‍💫
